He was one of the three scorers in that epic 3-1 win over Newcastle, when we were 1 down after 88 mins.

My deep love for Reading has just been taken to a whole new level. Wow

Quite liked Heaney but can't remember why. Says it all really

Pointless example. We are rating / discussing / bashing him on here, but we did not decide to buy him. An old banger of a car will never improve.

One Of The First Things Ever Taught To Young Footballers

This. MOTD also highlighted this, seemed to change his mind, and neither played offside or marked in the post. Either would have been better. Still he is only 17 and had a great game otherwise -

Provided we can also learn to defend simple situations properly, again -
Spoke to my good mate last night (blades fan). They know his limitations well, as Forte was one of theirs some time ago. May be an asset at L1 level but if they go up, don't expect them to seek a permanent deal!

MP sure has the pulling power we hoped for. Great restraint by him to turn away those players so keen to sign for him
-
Hats off to NC for keeping our signings quieter than anyone else in Europe. Ssshhh
-
Cue the bedwetting about the pulling power of MP v NA come 11pm, if it goes on like this....
-
Decent enough player for some of the seasons when we doing much better than we are currently. OK not a world beater and odd that he was our record signing for so long, but that was not his fault. Two goals away at Arsenal stand out for me. No need to slag him
-
Sharp was signed as 2nd choice because we did not get Hooper. Hooper was a "help get us promoted and then be part of our Premier league team". Hence bid of £7m. Sharp was purely a "help get us promoted" signing. I liked him but he is at the right level now and no one else is interested. Meantime, Hooper will be in a Premier league side either today or in the summer

It is one hell of a well made window. I have to shut mine gently

"players here are on way too much, much more than at Newcastle or Spurs. The owners have been taken for a ride". Enjoy the ride!

Is it full time yet?

Shipperley scoring at our end in the 3rd round FA cup midweek, about 6000 of us there. Went mental, found myself 3 rows further down with a few lads on top of me, got up to find the goal had long been disallowed. 100% wrong decision. Lost the game, car broke down on the way home, got in 6am. Oh, favourite memories, sorry. Ok, Simon Charlton scoring first, with Jeff Kenna a few seats from me, cheering us on, on behalf of Blackburn

That guy who owns 29% of Arsenal can't quite get 51% so he's buying the feeder club instead?

In the Sky EXCLUSIVE! interview this week, NC said he wanted us to be challenging the top 6. FFS he has downgraded our ambitions. Now I know why he had to get rid of NA and bring in a new man who was better placed to take us to the (new) next level. Cortese out
-
I was just thinking the opposite. The reaction at 2-2, the reaction at the final whistle (bloody great comeback etc) and his enthusiasm after the match when talking about Luke Shaw. I have watched it a couple of times and if this was acting, it was very high quality. Could have still done the job on the night and been polite, but without the genuine joy surely?
-
Agreed. And lets remember that the sacking was not just hard for NA, but it was hard for NC to do it too, because they were so close
-
Well I am not sure this is necessarily a good thing or not. Franky, NA keeping quiet about possible transfers, the exact date that key players may be back or not, who is likely to play next week, etc, was always fine with me. Why share this stuff with media hacks? So what if NA stuck to the same record each week? These conferences are just to give the internet legions and 24 hours a day tv channels something to say; they are not designed to give any clues to other teams or managers, and unless your name is Redknapp, who cares if the media come away not being your best mates?

Shame but likely
