Both to stay, Shaw too young as stated above, Lallana too Saints and to be won over with new manager / investment / progress. Hopefully

Win at ****e Hart Lane, same as Hoddle, hopefully

For which read: "Gus Poyet signs a new two year deal at Sunderland, despite implying he was unhappy there, as he realised no one else is interested in him, particularly not Southampton"

Should we hold a vote of No Confidence in the Board, or...
Bucks Saint replied to eelpie's topic in The Saints
Can we have a vote of no confidence in certain fans instead please -
Evidence for your charges? Reed lied?
-
No. Loved him to bits, we treated him badly, we have now been treated similarly, but it would be a huge backward step all the same

Laudrup was fired for underperforming. Yakin has resigned after doing very well earning plenty of plaudits, not sure you can blame him for wanting to move out of the Swiss league. Some of his prior moves were as youth coach, then assistant coach, as you say. Style of play is the big plus, nothing like Lennon
-
Laudrup who has 20 months as his longest stint across his last 4 clubs? No thanks. Yakin for me.
-
Spot on. Levy? The current Man Utd CEO? Delia Smith? Gold and Sullivan? The Fulham owner whoever he is? The list goes on, careful what you wish for

Good summary. Worked out well for 1) and 3), roll on the hattrick

There is some middle ground, actually quite a lot of it, between realism and acknowledgement of what few facts there are, and treating every piece of negative speculation as 100% gospel

Must be pretty dark in your world

Supporter Relations Manager, silly
-
Or maybe its nothing to do with him at all, and just the result of quiet and calm discussions which have been in progress for some time before NC wanted a bit more headline grabbing
-
No no no, that cant be right. We are at least a manager, a stack of first team coaches and four players down, they just have not been announced yet. The board are twiddling their thumbs and are not communicating all the decisions that they have finalised because they are not up to it AND they dont want to scare off season ticket renewals. They did all the deals this side of the world cup because the whole board are on holiday from early July for 8 weeks. Please keep up
-
cr&p, its at least £10m a year plus add ons.
-
What day was that offer made? Has he met with the board since then to discuss any aspect of it? Have any terms been amended, or is that work in progress? Was he given a deadline to accept, which has now passed? Are all manager contracts usually signed in 24 hours? Have the club and Mopo agreed a policy of no comment until they are both happy? Please tell
-
Why do the club need to manage my parents? My aunty maybe, she is at least a fan, but i can deal with the old folks thanks
-
Thats not what it says. It says he is levy's preference but not the rest of the "decision makers". Also says that it will take £3m to get Mopo and assistants, at least, and this is a stumbling block. Other candidates are more available. Beyond what it actually says, I agree with others that the Standard is as accurate as the Mail on sport rumours

Norwich is a possibility if they have the spending desire / wages to go for promotion. Has been linked before

Helps explain why crowds, while still good, were 10k lower in L1. Some people need real assurance about the likely quality, some dont make that a condition of their support. Each to their own

Would really love a league table, say once a month, of all the transfer stories in all the main papers, ranked by how many have turned out to be true. The top 3 would have laughably low scores
-
Football agents are like estate agents, only difference is that a very small number of them are very highly paid and an even smaller number are decent

3 players in the England world cup squad

take a bow sir
