But no more accurate, apart from some of the comments

Spot on. I tried to explain this too but you have done a more comprehensive job
-
Cant blame him for ignoring your suggestion. Wants a better deal, thats all. If he were to say "no I am going nowhere, no matter what", then he would be a very poor negotiator
-
Yep. Reed. Planning pre season. Loved by the players and fans. Feels we can improve. Best season he has had anywhere (arguably). IMO yes but plenty of reason for it
-
He is staying, just on better deal. Rest easy
-
He played in THAT final game at the Dell when MLT scored the winner v Arsenal. Top lad!

On a scale of 1 to 10, how happy are you with saints at the moment?

Its a disgrace that this poll is closed. I was going to vote 4, so we had the full set -
yes this 100%. very solid before, great tackling, good at tracking back, but more prone to sideways / backwards passes. Now, has added better positional movement, improved speed of passing, spotting and creating opportunities, all around excellent use of space.

Slightly random praise for Steve in the Metro today, from Chris Rann, but spot on and thoroughly deserved of course. A shorter version is in the main printed copy, with a prominent photo. http://metro.co.uk/2014/04/30/steven-davis-the-grey-man-and-how-he-is-vital-to-southampton-4713511/

Matches the quality, insight and accuracy of their main articles so at least its consisent -
Yep, away fans are a factor for sure. I recall seeing a stat somewhere saying they are down generally, hence the FA cash for helping away attendances
-
This. Superb today

Strong feeling one will lead to the other. So, Mopo to stay

"IF" FFS. Have some faith that our club is not deliberately lying to our fans; while Utd is in total meltdown, at its lowest point for nearly 20 years and Moyes is a free agent who can say what he wants.
-
I have no idea. Thats one possibility but not the only one. I dont automatically assume the Club are at fault because he has yet to have detailed talks
-
So you can understand why he might want to wait, and might have said so, but dont understand why we may have agreed that with him. Should the Club ignore what he says, and insist that he sit down to talk details now? Just maybe there is no issue
-
Perhaps thats what they have agreed to do, so there is no issue. And agreeing to talk after the Utd game is not the same as having contract talks.
-
Sorry, i thought you were suggesting we needed to add five top, top players akin to all of Liverpool's best. I was just saying we have a few that the Top 4 teams would like to have already, so perhaps the investment needed is not as huge as thought. As Benji said, there are some bargains out there and a goalscorer would be a major start.
-
Get your point, but havent Jay Rod, Morgan, Luke and Adam been brilliant too? Plus Lovren for at least half the season? I would love to have the players you mention from Liverpool but we have a few decent ones too, so to compare, we are not starting from scratch
-
or (iv) the club have already made a very conscious effort and MP does not want to discuss in any detail until after the season (and the Club have decided not to make a big public statement about it, or tell you)
-
Worst pile of b@llocks from this unreliabe Utd lover
