Struggling to get excited by our league campaign
Bucks Saint replied to bender's topic in The Saints
Very comfortable top half position in our 2nd season back, stylish and high quality football, vastly improved defence, young players rightly in the starting 11, winning plaudits a plenty. Yeah its so dull -
Post Match Reaction: SAINTS 1-0 West Brom
Bucks Saint replied to Saint-Armstrong's topic in The Saints
Spot on except Foster was wasting time at his first goal kick on 3/4 mins. Most of the crowd around me could not believe it either! -
Another thread on the same subject with bedwetters getting in a state because of a media report

Mark Duggan family reacts with fury to inquest verdict of lawful killing
Bucks Saint replied to John B's topic in The Lounge
A bit different though - the armed police at Woolwich spent several minutes rushing to the scene, knowing pretty well what they were going to be facing when they got there. There was no huge surprise and split second to react, as there was with Duggan. Also the two guys were not armed with guns. So not quite the same level of immediate and instant threat, although when they moved towards the police with their knives etc they were rightly shot. Agree with you its a shame they were only injured though -
Have to recommend these, if you can find some secondhand on ebay (they are about £150 new) Mordaunt-Short Avant 902s. Very good value for a budget http://www.whathifi.com/review/mordaunt-short-avant-902i

I agree about the lack of "soon to be ready" CBs in the academy, but I thought his quote about January was more along the lines that we have lots of good players coming through and just dont plan to buy anyone. Thats not quite the same - and FWIW i personally think we will buy a CB at least, whatever answer was given to the journos

This assumes the youth first policy is 1) forced upon him; 2) something that he did not know about it until after he took the job. Evidence?

I am not worried - think some people need to calm down
-
Makes sense but we will only let him go once we have a replacement
-
Weird, but ditto from me
-
7 goals for us last season i think. Should have kept him

Adam Lallana pledges future to Southampton
Bucks Saint replied to Saint-Armstrong's topic in The Saints
As i predicted. Good -
+1 top value purchase, very reliable, links play, sniffs out danger, covers huge ground
-
If Davis plays alongside Cork he needs to be very disciplined and remember his protecting role. That said he was back to his best again today and is very quick to sniff out danger and covers huge distances
-
Fair play and thanks. Dont recall seeing your lot let too many goals in like those today, so not sure it was reflective of the norm. Good luck to you for the rest of the season
-
Much needed, well deserved, slightly patch team, brilliant
-
yes - at both ends if Gazza keeps this up
-
Might be ok then, if yankee steaks are your thing pre-match!

Been in that pub for a midweek league cup game many years back. Not recommended. One of the very few times I have been "uncomfortable" in a pub prior to an away match, the others being Pompey and Luton

Huge amount to be said for experience when it comes to keepers, despite some faults, KD is way ahead.

Rounding off Christmas day with a large dose of Sky at the MCG. Keeping in touch with a good mate who is there. Lets hope we put up a bit of a fight this time

This. MLT said "how much money do you need to be happy? I am well paid and very happy". -

Fellani went for £24m I think? So AL would be £30m at least. Cant see it Also think he is here for life (form permitting) IMHO -
Have a great day everyone, even Cardiff, feel free to overdo it

We are going to throw a big surprise and defend well for a change. Like we used to do a lot earlier in the season. But Jos will still score so we will lose
