  1. The right way to do it. We stayed in the top flight by beating teams around us and if we do that again in the second half of this season I believe we will stay up. It is just a pity that this change in management/form didn't come prior to our last run of games against fellow strugglers!
  2. We will walk this Administration!
  3. Peace in The Middle East and an End to World Poverty. Let's get things in perspective.
  4. I suspect you are right but would you have felt hard done by, I know I would have.
  5. How can you say he took the ball!! He landed on the guys shin.
  6. he deserved a red. Sorry but it's true. dangerous tackle, could have broken the other guys leg.
  7. Nobody on the board in recent times has covered themselves in glory. New blood all round please.
  8. I believe it was after this game that I waited for ages outside the ground as one of only two kids who were saints supporters (the rest were just there to see some 1st division footballers). When the team came out, KK came over to us and pulled my woolly bobble hat over my eyes and had a chat. Lawrie Mac then let the two of us on to the team coach to collect autographs. Happy Days!
  9. Personally i thought this was worse than Mansfield.
  10. Waiting for Puberty
  11. Just back... We were truly, truly awful. Think bad and then double it. We couldn't keep possession, couldn't pass and had no penetration. Really, I do mean it, just wait for others to post. McGoldrick was awful on his own up front and even we we did create a bit of space no one was prepared to hit an early pass. The ball just didn't stick up front so was always coming back at us, we never really troubled Rotherham. Bart - I thought he was going to be something great but now he needs bought a wig and a big red nose. First goal was a flap-tastic effort on his part and he never really looked in charge at all (see goal three). Second goal was just a great strike from their player. Unlike ours, they were happy to have a shot. Our lads were constantly looking for an extra pass and loosing it. Our goal : Stern John arrives and suddenly the ball sticks because here is a gy who can play with his back to goal. Also, prepared to have a shot and what do you know...bangs it in the net from a nothing position! For the next ten minutes we looked like we could do this. Rotherham's defense started to drop deeper because of SJ and that created a little space for our midfield to get forward and play some passes but then... Send in the clowns! Rotherham broke and we looked like we had it covered. Difficult to tell but looked like the defender and Bart waited for each other and the Rotherham player nicked in and played it square. We deflated and it was all over. I was truly appalled by how bad we were and even though it is only up the road am wondering whether it is worth the trip to Donny. I feel sorry for you if that is the football being served up each week at St Mary's. As for the fans...ours were great. Well done lads for out singing the Rotherham lot...but frankly they didn't get going until the last 15-20 minutes. Best chant of the night "We'll be back here next year" ... and we probably will. Booooooooooooo
  12. It's a horrible place. Sat miles from the play. There will be NO atmosphere...but I'll be there!
  13. I suspect he only pleaded guilty because it was all caught on CCTV, not because he was doing the right thing (odd turn of phrase in the circumstances!). Yes, people are due a second chance but I think this is the point people are making, he is on his second chance and then does this...clearly he needs to be sat down and spoken to about what taking your second chance is all about.
  14. Northern Irish, so fortunately I get to choose both Saints and an international team that actually plays for the shirt! Cannot believe just how badly England have underperformed recently. Clearly people are paid far too much, particularly if they have to come out and tell you that it hurts when they loose, you should see it writ large on their faces. What sort of pride to players have when they will hide behind injuries to please their club rather than step out on to the pitch for their country. Boooooooo to Prima Donna Internationals.
  15. I'm sure, shortly after he arrived, we had Paul Jones and Niemi on the books at the same time and Wales played Finland. Both keepers in an international were ours. I suspect it will be sometime before we have that sort of quality in the team again.
  16. How can anyone not like this guy?
  17. Really happy with the way JP talks to us. No nonsense, sensible comments. Unlikely a recent manager he seems to have seen the same game we have. Also think he is handling the players well, showing the youngsters they will be given a chance and keeping the 'established' players on their toes.
