I have to say, I really enjoyed the Early Doors show with MLT at the weekend (with guest Martin Tyler, who was absolutely brilliant). I was fascinated to learnt the following... There have only ever been two Premier League hat tricks scored by players who ended up on the losing team, and he is responsible for two of them (Oldham away and Nottingham Forest at home); His hat trick against Nottingham Forest was the first one in Premier League history to be comprised only of set pieces; He also won all three of the set pieces that he scored from; and That hat trick (in 1995) was the last one scored by a Southampton player at The Dell. Now trying to think how many hat tricks have been scored by Saints players at St Mary's.

I think I’ve felt more life and passion for football in those last 10 minutes than I did the whole of last season. Well done boys, deserved win in my book and a tough banana skin avoided!

Probably seems a bit harsh, but I can't tell you how pleased I am to see him go. Never liked him and, for me, epitomises everything bad about the club in recent years. Just an unlikeable, utterly average, player.

I've always felt that the women's game is trying too hard to simply copy the men's one, rather than putting on a different product. Smaller pitches, smaller goals, different kits, 80 minute games, maybe even outlawing heading, would, I think, give it some really good USPs.

If you can't be happy about this new away kit then there's not much hope really is there. Looks really nice and I understand why they go down the route of a plain back. Still not buying though as I have my retro 90's version from a few years ago. 😅

Genuinely surprised about this (other than the red flag of him spearheading the new kit launch). It really worries me that the club have made this move in light of what we saw from him last season. >Not a very good player at Premier League level. >Not a very good role model on the pitch (albeit probably a good one off it). >Not a very good decision by the club (in my humble opinion). I guess the only saving grace is that we're not a Premier League club at present, so we have to accept this fact (and all that comes with it).

Yeah, this news will no doubt compound an already tragic situation for the family. Very, very, sad.

Nice story. Absolutely hate it when tragic things like this happen, but it's always good if it helps shine a light on an important topic.

I met someone at the pub last night who claimed to be a senior figure within the club. Don't flame me if I'm wrong but he told me that it will be a close replica of the 1978 home kit. He also told me that P&O Cruises will be the new main sponsor, but didn't appear to realise that the news was made public earlier in the day. Still, I guess that proves that he is credible so let's watch this space...
