  1. Agreed. At the end of the day, France were never behind and didn’t have to toil too much to score twice when they needed to. We can talk all we want about how we were the better team but that’s because we were trailing for the majority of the game and had to do something about it. I don’t think this was the close / unjust defeat that many are making out. At the end of the day, they stepped up to the mark and we didn’t.
  2. You know it’s a Mickey Mouse trophy when people can’t spell it correctly!
  3. Haha pretty true. Would be nice to see one of them lift a trophy before I kick the bucket though.
  4. Fuck me we drew a short straw in life, supporting Saints AND England. 30 years supporting them and fuck all to show for all that toil.
  5. Don't worry, we're signing Gakpo in January right! Right?
  6. With you there, an opportunity to unceremoniously sweep our cow pat of a league season under the carpet until after Christmas. You live in hope that we'll see a completely different team when we return.
  7. When the BBC website said Ghana had scored the first goal I had this weird feeling that it was Salisu... ...and then his name popped up! True story bro!
  8. We were imperious that game, dismantled Hull with our energy, skill and sheer good looks 🙂
  9. It's funny, I saw plenty of Le Tissier games but missed all his true wonder goals. Shane Long's strike in the 6-1 win over Villa (Mane hat-trick game) was really memorable, but I think this has to be the winner...
  10. Merry Christmas everyone.
  11. Correct! I remember driving down to The Dell only to find out it had sold out!
  12. God bless him and all who sail in him.
  13. Think this means we get a game before Christmas now!
  14. Everyone will be watching in case there’s the highly unlikely repeat of the infamous Gakpo ‘final’ game. Nathan Jones will probably make a remarkable hat trick of substitutions resulting in a 10-0 win. He’ll then declare his undying love for Luton and sign a new 20-year contract!
  15. It’s not entirely clear in your post, but are you not happy with this potential appointment?
  16. Not sure what to say. Was hoping for a Koeman style appointment to kick-start the Sports Republic era, but clearly I’m well off the mark.
  17. I'm feeling pretty apathetic about his departure, albeit leaning more towards sorrow than happiness. I think of being top of the league for a day and smile, but then recall the 9-0s and grimace. Seemed a nice chap and definitely will be fine with his massive pay-out. Hopefully we'll move onto better things and we'll all end up happy.
  18. His departure has been on the cards for some time, so we must surely have his replacement lined up? Guess it just depends on whether they are available to start immediately (like Ralph did when we appointed him from memory).
  19. Surely this is the end for Ralph? I’ve not said this before, but it’s definitely time for him to go so we can try and salvage this complete cow pat of a season.
  20. So good he’s ten times better than the average player right?
  21. Our starting line-ups are hard to digest. I start quite confident, but as I progress down the list, I become progressively more despondent.
  22. Fixed it for you!
  23. Can't stand him. An absolute waste of space and seems ridiculous that the BBC continue to give him a platform to voice his boring, pro top 6, nuggets of opinion.
  24. A win? A clean sheet? What is this sorcery!
