I can honestly say that, as an impressionable kid in the early 90's, who wasn't local to the area, our badge was one of the things that enticed me to start supporting Saints. It's a fantastic design and the fact we're using a silhouette of it at times kind of emphasizes that it's both iconic and timeless. Anyone looking to meddle with it should be made to bend over and take a hot crumpet from behind without blubbing.

We seem to have a mixed identity when it comes to kits. We're obviously not the only club that are in this position. Personally, I would love to see us permanently adopt the sash to set us apart from everyone else.

Interesting from the promotional photos that the web design appears to be based on the architecture of the roof at St Mary's. I've no problem with the kit personally as far more concerned about how we play when we're wearing it these days.

Sounds like he's the same height as Salisu (6ft 2in). Seems to be on the shorter end of the scale for central defenders, but then we had one of the tallest ones in history and his 'leap' seemed to make him shorter at times.

Unusual to be flaunting an old kit when announcing new signings. Would be cool if the club drop the bombshell that we're sticking with last season's kit!
