On Sunday 16th September 2012, Me and Mrs Dr.Who are taking part in the London to Brighton cycle ride, for the charity Childhood First, which is our choosen charity for all events.This is 54 miles, and the furthest I have cycled before this time was 11 miles. I know times are hard and season ticket prices are at a very silly price, but I would appreciate as much or as little as you can afford, as it will help with the motivation. We are off for our first longish bike ride today, as part of the training schedule (15 miles). This is on the main board, as I am a Saints fan, so is my wife, and I will be wearing the new Saints top! Sounds a little like mine at the moment. Sunday - tuna on toast Monday - beans on toast Tuesday - spaghetti on toast Wednesday - beans on toast Thursday - spaghetti on toast Friday - Indian takeaway Saturday - cook a meal On a diet and fitness trip ready for me and mrs dr who's cycle ride from London to Brighton. Normally eat loads of rubbish as often as possible!

When I was young, we always used to have a set meal each day of the week, but this does not happen so much any more. I used to hear the phrase it is Wednesday today, so it is lamb chops day, and we always had the same thing it, mash and peas. Friday was always fish day from the chippy, and there was a day for crispy pancakes. At the weekend it was my mums chilli on Saturday, and every Sunday without fail it would be roast day, unless it was really hot out, and we would have a salad, covered in cheese with a pork pie plonked in the middle (to make it healthy). We just have whatever we fancy each day and pick something random from the freezer for the kids. We only all sit down together and eat on the occasional Saturday and Sunday. Does anyone still have set meals for each day? Do you sit down as a family and discuss the day?

Both my girls love broccoli, sweetcorn and carrots and have it every time they have a meal that requires veg. I just think these days they have a lot of ready meals, such as lasagne, spaghetti bol, sheppards pie, corn beef hash, tuna pasta bake, cheesy pasta, which are all on a great offer in Tesco. (over stores as well). This is easier and cheaper to feed children,mand it is still expensive. I would give them veg with these meals but feel it is a little much for a little one. I love veg, but my wife does not eat any of it, so they have it when they have roast, and other meals that require veg.

Just celebrating not having to go into the office for 5 days (I work from home on Fridays). Then 2 days in the office with 4 days out the office as taking the Monday off the following week.

This reminds me of the shirt that we had in Europe in 2004.

I really do not think Adkins would leave us, unless a top 4/5 team came in for him. We have a great future, the club is in great shape, no reason to move on. Reports are that lambert was not going to be given money to push on, so most managers will leave if they cannot strengthen their squads. Just look at WGS, if you feel you have taken a club as far as you can, then as a manager you would move on to better yourself.

Looks like Swansea are going for a cheap option, and they will go down next season. Norwich, and Vila will struggle along with QPR and Reading. Plenty of teams that will be worse off than us. I also think Stoke could struggle as well.m

Not bad, love Ajax, and they are the Dutch champions. Will be a good game just before the start of the season. Beat them, and Champions league here we come!

Don't get me started! I already have to travel 233 mile round trip, when I do go to home games. I prefer away games and will choose this option. If I got a season ticket I would not be able to go to every home game, and would not be able to go to away games at all. For me and others it is not just the case of buying a season ticket it is petrol and food for the day. Now if we got into Europe I would do all I could to get to away games yes, but this would put the league right on the back burner and I would probably make a family break away out of it.

It is but they know they can still get the bums on seats as we need to support them. As I said this was in no way a go at the club, but just pointing out how much it has become a rich mans game. As someone pointed out a pint used to be around £1.20 in 1988, and you could could watch a game of football for 30p more, seats or terrace still a game of football. I do not believe a pint is anywhere near £32 is it..... Not even in London

Ok as an adult it was £5 to get into the Milton. Not saying it is Saints but just football.

Yes of course staying up is a priority, but as many have mentioned, we have a strong fan base. We have a debt free club, with a fantastic infrastructure, including our youth academy, training ground, extending the ground, and the area around SMS. We have links now starting up in Africa, and I am sure we will forge many others in different countries. The club is in a fantastic position to push on. Probably the best time to do so for a long time. Who knows, we could buy new players and things just gel really well. Look at Newcastle believe me they never thought they would be in Europe next season at the start of 2011/12 season. Norwich and Swansea both punched above their weight, and I really do believe we have a better club and more of a chance than bettering what these two did in 2011/12. Our future is bright. Somewhere around mid table next season and pushing for Europe the season after seems possible to me. The club is set up really well and being run the correct way, and we should be even prouder to be Saints fans, and let's dream and let the good times roll. ENJOY!
