Yes I make great tea, but even better coffee. Yes clueless, but going to save myself a fortune in labour costs. Tiles removed, walls sanded and loose bits removed. Plastered and looks great Next undercoat and then paint Then tile around sink and lower walls around the work surfaces. Then up with the cooker hood and a fan for the kitchen. Then up with the wooden floor Down with the under tile heating, and then lay some tiles to complete the kitchen. ALL myself, and have the money saved from labour costs to take the family away in the summer! Do you fancy trying to do my accounts work for. Few weeks? I am sure you would be clueless as well, but at least I am giving it a go, rather than paying some cowboy over the odds for a botch job. Laughing all the way to the bank with my savings from quotes I have had for the same work, for way over a grand!

I would like to say happy new year to all the posters on this board, and even if IMO a lot are complete loons, they make this board what it is. Without these said posters, this place would be just a little boring. It has been a fantastic year to be a Saints fan, and let's hope that 2012 will see us promoted to the premier league, and by this time next year be sat in the top half of thevleague, and the skates lose there 10 points, that they should do. I do not think Boro have the firepower and I cannot see them going up. Reading play some really good attacking football with 2 wingers and after a shaky start are scoring goals from all over the park. They only scraped through today, but they keep going until the end. We will come second, with West Ham or a team like Barnsley will go up in the play offs.

I do not think that anyone wants to win the N Power Championship this year. My tip and a team that seem to be doing a Norwich is Reading. They have won 6 or their last 7. All the teams at the top are so inconsistent at the moment, so I am going for Reading for Champions. Before anyone says anything I know that Norwich did not win the league, but went on a great run to get second. As we do not seem to have anyone that wants to run away with the league, it is there for any team who wants to put a run together in the top 8-10. We will get second.

I have been reading about these diamond core cutters and they are not cheap, and to hire they are £35/40. Then I will need to fit the vent to the outside. Yes will be going through a brick wall. With the hood it will be going though an internal wall, but being a 50's house (damp problems) the walls are rock solid and like stone....no plasterboard to be seen.

Hi all, Do not want to turn the lounge into DIY, but a couple of last things. 1) Can I put up a cooker hood up before the electrician comes to wire it all in, or should I leave it until after all the electrics are done. I do think put it up, as this seems to make more sense. 2) how do I make a hole in the wall for my electronic vent for the bathroom? Cheers.

Oh I would also like to add, ALL the other teams in the championship have been dropping points that on paper, perhaps they should not!!

One of the most successful Liverpool team only used 14 players in a whole season. Any team that loses it's main players are going to struggle. We are just off form that's for sure, but we will bounce back. I do think the team should have gone away a few weeks ago to freshen up, if not physically then mentally.

This everyone needs to realise that we cannot win every game! We are going about things the right way. I saw Barca lose to someone a few weeks ago.... It happens!!

This could be a reason for today, but we have not been playing well for a few games now. I get sick to death with people looking for fundamental problems, that are just not there.
