He does not sound happy at all. Chin up NA it has been a fantastic 2011!!

I have been reading about these diamond core cutters and they are not cheap, and to hire they are £35/40. Then I will need to fit the vent to the outside. Yes will be going through a brick wall. With the hood it will be going though an internal wall, but being a 50's house (damp problems) the walls are rock solid and like stone....no plasterboard to be seen.

Hi all, Do not want to turn the lounge into DIY, but a couple of last things. 1) Can I put up a cooker hood up before the electrician comes to wire it all in, or should I leave it until after all the electrics are done. I do think put it up, as this seems to make more sense. 2) how do I make a hole in the wall for my electronic vent for the bathroom? Cheers.

And so our first blank at home!! Ha ha ha, could not not make this up, timing is everything. I believe I did the same for our record run, and yes you guessed it we drew at home to Blackpool.

The wrist slashers on the match thread

Oh I would also like to add, ALL the other teams in the championship have been dropping points that on paper, perhaps they should not!! -

One of the most successful Liverpool team only used 14 players in a whole season. Any team that loses it's main players are going to struggle. We are just off form that's for sure, but we will bounce back. I do think the team should have gone away a few weeks ago to freshen up, if not physically then mentally. -
Bloody Friday night football!!! I believe the last time we lost to Brighton at home on a Friday?!

God we are doing much better than expected, and yes there seems to be a problem at the moment.... Not scoring at home!!!!??

Our fitness will see us through in the last 20 mins. 2-0

Anyway, I see James is having another blinder against us. Do he still live in Southampton.

This everyone needs to realise that we cannot win every game! We are going about things the right way. I saw Barca lose to someone a few weeks ago.... It happens!!
-
This could be a reason for today, but we have not been playing well for a few games now. I get sick to death with people looking for fundamental problems, that are just not there.
-
Seconded.

We will win this game. Got a whole half left yet!

Please shut up.... We have great attitude, but just not firing on all cylinders at the moment for some reason.

This, as I thought it was brilliant when I got tunein radio for my iPhone, as it had Solent, only for the day of the Saints game to be told that the program (the game) would/could not be broadcast because of contractual reasons. Anyone know why you can listen to the game in and around the south coast but not up here? Is it solely because of saints player? I have saints player now but do not really listen to games, but will tonight.

We will sign that Cov player I have never heard of, is he a striker? -
I really do love and hate all of you, it is just like my family, but instead full of mutters that I mostly argue with, and have only met a few of you....... Oh hold on, that is my family down to a tee.

Mid 80's I remember getting our first one and we needed an extension for it, or the work surfaces re-enforced!!!!!

Fulham or wolves would temp any League 1 player away. We will only be a team on this level when we go up into the premier league so do not kid yourselves. I think he could show that he is doing things the right way and developing through the leagues and will make his way to the top. Will be interesting to see what would happen if someone from the top 5 came along for him! True Saint COYR!!

Yeah jonnyboy, just hit home that we are not going to be moving from here for a long time, so let's make it how I want it. The conservatory and downstairs toilet I will not be doing ;-)

I think just a filter one would be better, as like you our cooker backs onto the lounge. We have not had one for a year, but the top and sides of the cupboards are very greasy. I think I will look in B&Q tomorrow.

Yes the funds are always the problem. We have another baby on the way and if not here by Monday then my wife will be induced, so early next week the latest. Have mainly put together flat pack, but have also done the nursery and it looks brilliant. All of a sudden I am enjoying doing the DIY, rather than paying through the nose, and yes it takes me longer, but this gap between Christmas and New Year, and then paternity leave gives me a large chunk of time to get this sort of thing done. After the kitchen, it will be the bathroom, but then a downstairs toilet, which someone else will do, and then a conservatory. This is over the next year though, so a lot going on. I need a hood for my cooker as well, but it is not on an outside wall, so will buy one, but someone else will need to fix it. Also have. A small leak around the bath that li need to fill, or this will become a bigger problem. I am really enjoying the planning and the work, and it keeps me busy!! I am going to sand the walls first, and then have a go at skimming, but not sure it will work, and if not may need to get someone in for that part of the project.

Right, while moving the tiles from the kitchen wall, two things happened, one related to removing the tiles the other not. The cover for the vent that goes to outside fell off, and as far as I could make out it was being held on by the tiles. Can I just buy another cover for the hole in the wall, or do I need a brand new vent? The other thing is that a screw seems to have come out of the back of the mixer tap, and if you turn it on without holding it the top of the tap flies off and water shoots into the air. I have found the little screw but I am not quite sure how it holds the tap in place as it is tiny!
