  1. Spot on @SaintLondon🎯🎯🎯 Your point about ”entering the PL with tailwinds not turbulence” is so true. And we have nothing but turbulence!
  2. Suspect we know the answer to that!
  3. Could get a few mates over to construct another fanzone pretty damn quickly though…
  4. Sorry to hear this. RIP Andy.
  5. “Promising” isn’t the adjective I’d use!
  6. It was Watford I believe.
  7. What do people think of Corberan? Generally well regarded, but didn’t do so well at WBA, and not pulling up any trees at Valencia. Maybe he’ll bring Bielsa in as his #2 next season? 😂
  8. I think a few would, but at the end of the day we are not going to please everyone. Someone the majority can get behind is the best we can hope for.
  9. Assuming the one ‘from Germany’ isn’t Tondo? I’m still hoping for a Hail Mary on Marco Rose…🙏
  10. There’s an easy-ish option - if they are truly considering Eckart - in letting him carry on for a few more games while they sound out/consider candidates - he may continue to improve or tank… I really would rather they just got on with it though and brought someone in with experience. If they believe in this guy they can always promote him to the first team coaching group and plan for his ultimate succession.
  11. Because ‘Sports Republic’… If they’re so desperate to develop him, just insist he’s in the coaching set-up for whoever takes over. Is that beyond them?
  12. I hope so.
  13. Gary O’Neil is a shoe-in for the Boro job surely. Less grief there as an ex-player too.
  14. I don’t claim to know as I’ve never studied his teams that closely, but I’ve seen others on here claim GO’N plays a slower ‘keep ball’ game too - I do recall Wolves fans fuming at them being one down in the final minutes of a crucial match and them passing it around the bank (sounds familiar!). That said, *my* impression was that his teams played quite aggressive ‘front foot’ football. The main thing I like about him however is that he has “something about him” - and I get the distinct impression he’d have no problem getting the hair dryer out, which is something we desperately need. The main downside is the P*mpey link. Frankly, I couldn’t give a toss about it, and I honestly think people need to grow up a bit on this point, but it would be nice to have someone at the helm who had the backing of all fans…
  15. He’s CEO of SR, not SFC - that’s Parsons.
  16. He does know about football though - as in he has experience - he’s been a player, a DoF and a Chairman.
  17. Probably not if we’d have been humped…
  18. What if we go there and win?
  19. Yet we won for the first time in 6 games… So guess he’ll feel vindicated in his selection.
  20. Don’t dispute that at all - or if he had to pick a stronger affinity it would be us, but the point is people can bridge the great divide. Beresford & Horne two players who did it successfully. Others rather more mixed (Viafara, Quarshie etc.).
  21. Alan Ball anyone? Loved P*mpey.
  22. Given what happened with the other two, I’d see this as a positive…
  23. Does anyone have any intel on who has actually been interviewed (or will be)?
  24. You know this how?
  25. Sent by a mate… made me feel like “I’ve seen this movie before”…
