  1. There, changed it for you...
  2. Usually agree with you on most things mate.... But not this. Disagree 100% Love Leibherr...
  3. There, corrected it for you...
  4. FFS Alpine you do make it difficult for yourself, do you have to argue every point as if the veins on your forehead are about to burst?? No one, I repeat no one, has written off the views of all expats, that's just in your view. Turkish has just stated, quite reasonably, that if you're agrresively posting on here that the squad needs strengthening or we won't go up then it's not that big an ask to question you on what grounds you feel that's required?? The "fact" we may incure injuries, as any club can do, just doesn't cut it with me.. You state that because people have differing opinions, that's why you feel the views expressed by people attending the game in the flesh aren't that valid? So on that assumption why do you believe everything you hear on the radio or on here? It's all just opinion after all isn't it? You can't write off the whole "Did you actually see the game" argument because you can get varying opinions on the game. If anything it shows how subjective football is and how you can't take one person's views as gospel. Until you explain just why this sqaud isn't good enough on it's own, without the excuse that we may incure injuries, then people will continue to push you for answers and berate your opinion...
  5. Valid point that always gets lost on some people. How on earth can you judge players that you've not seen play? I can appreciate that geography and finance can stop people going to games but how on earth can you judge a player when you're dependent on the radio and the views of someone else watching the game? The problem on here is as soon as you mention that you get people accusing you of being a "super fan" or indulging in a p1ssing competition but the truth is, if you start vehemently arguing with people, it's not that great a leap for people to ask you on what you base that argument and Alpine has yet to back his argument up with any "facts" other than "What if player X gets injured" which is the same for EVERY team in the Football League. It's not a dig at people just a simple observation that if you don't go to games, how can you comment on the players? It's rather like not going to see the latest blockbuster film because Jonathan Ross told you it was crap, you form your own opinion. I've only been to about ten games this season as issues at home and then inheriting a house that requires a massive amount of work done on it, means I just can't justify the expenditure of going every week so I can sympathise with people who can't afford it, have new family, new job, have moved and just can't go to games on a regular basis. But the moment you stick your head above the trenches and start mouthing off about issues surrounding the club then people have the right to ask questions about you and how you form your opinion and Turkish has every right to ask Alpine on on what issues he bases his opinion of the club...
  6. What's really scary is a list of some of the nothing players we signed either on the off chance they might be good or just because we were bored and were looking for something to do.. Arias? Van Damme? Yahia? Stig Johansen? Marco Almeida? Jason Bowen? The list is endless...
  7. Post of 2011 thus far... Definite knowledge of fisting...
  8. At 200-1 I'd pop a fiver on us just for sh1ts and giggles...
  9. There is the world of difference between needing to sign players and wanting to buy players. The squad we have can win the title, no doubt about it.... but it would be nice to get a few more players in who could lift the dressing room just with their presence. Just as you said, we've had more than our fair share of players bought just for the sake of it and unless there's a signing that adds genuine class I'm not interested...
  10. Sorry but that's absolute nonsense... The team I saw was brimming with confidence after that Wembley run. Ten points deduction and effectively starting the club from scratch cost us promotion, the cup run had nothing, I repeat NOTHING to do with it. You ask anyone who's done anything in football, or who knows anything about football, and they will tell you that when you're winning games and are hitting real form, you can't wait for the next game. If there was trouble behind the scenes it had absolutely nothing to do with the Johnsons Paint Trophy win... How on earth anyone could have wished we'd lost yesterday is beyond me...
  11. Spot on, I think that last years Johnsons Paint run actually made us a better team. The confidence it gave us was noticeable...
  12. Sorry, but how on earth can you say that????
  13. Want: Liverpool or Chelsea at home would do me nicely... West Ham just to give that ***** Grant the final shove out the door... Not: Spurs (too good at the moment) Arsenal (way too good at the moment) Man Utd (Way too good even when they;re playing sh1te)
  14. There, corrected that for you...
  15. This...
  16. What I don't quite get is some people get all worried at the prospect of an extra game and yet don't bat an eyelid when a game's postponed leading to an inevitable backlog of games... The more games you play when you're on it, the better. A winning mentality is something to nurture surely?
  17. Not sure why so many want us to lose. Surely when you're playing well and winning the more games you play the more you gel as a unit? A confidence booster to play a Premiership team and beat them? If we beat them then surely our tails will be up and we'll be looking forward to our next game? I actually think the Johnsons paint trophy run made us a better team...
  18. I have to admit I find it strange that people doubt the squad we have is good enough to win this league? We were cast iron favourites at the begining of the season and bar Brentford we've turned it on quite nicely so far. It's not as if we've been crap for any great period, it's just been the odd hiccup. Another striker or two, midfield cover and that's pretty much all I can think of...
  19. So that makes Mother Theresa a possible future manager at Newcastle as Pardew didn't show any signs of title winning form did he? Seriously, today we made a real stride towards pushing for the title and were minutes away from pulling back 2 points on Brighton and you're on here moaning about the manager who has guided us to three successive wins and 11 goals... How utterly, utterly childish...
  20. I'd say Huddersfield and Walsall in consecutive games.... Total football and ripped apart two very competent teams who were looking at the playoffs at the time..
  21. To be fair, when most Brighton fans look over their shoulder they see a lubed up bloke with a handlebar moustache...
  22. We got relegated twice, that's how... You're not very good at this are you?
  23. And how can you prove that the JPT cost us those 4 points? I could counter that by saying the whole experience buoyed the players, increased their confidence and got the team playing better... (wasn't having at pop at you by the way..)
  24. Myth... complete and utter myth, peddled on here by people with an agenda against Pardew. Quite frankly I find it offensive to have one of my best days as a Saints fan written off as tin pot....
  25. The same Glenn Hoddle whose Spurs side was completely and utterly smashed by Strachan's at St Marys?
