I don't think Golden showers are a viable topic on here mate...

As a footnote to all of this, has anyone questioned the police in all of this? Amongst all the pro and con of this debate, has anyone suggested the police hold an inquiry as to why, on a hotly contested, top graded local derby, the police saw fit to let home and away fans mingle out side the ground? People are in prison, now will the police be held accountable for their incompetence?

Hold on a second, so is the issue "rioting"? If so, if missiles were hurled at a political march would the offenders be getting year long sentence? It has to be proportionate, a riot is a riot. I doubt very much if political rioters would get a similar sentence...
-
I'd add to that, what sort of justice system do we have when you can have the most vile child porn on your pc and possibly get a lighter sentence. The point here is that the police are culpable after letting the fans out together. We can argue the rights and wrong football violence until we're blue in the face but the one fact that a lot of the posters on here seem to be actively avoiding. The sentences are disproportionate.... end of.

Absolutely spot on. The half season tickets costs the club, nothing... Fook all.. I think we deserve an answer...

So has anyone asked if there is an "administration cost" in half season tickets? No? So why's that been withdrawn then? The problem here is people are shooting the messenger by sniping away at Stu, the harsh truth is he's right. The club has lied. He's found a way of issuing installment plans at no cost to the club whatsoever. You can file it with the fans charter which was another blatant lie and ripped up within six months of being written...

Got mine through today, and I have to admit, in terms of quality, it's the best shirt we've had in years... I love it... No. I really love it...

We've got to accept any price rises and take them on the chin. We can't take the p1ss out of Pompey for their unsustainable wage structure and then expect to pay stupidly low prices on tickets. If we want to have success then we've got to pay for it or we'll end up just like Pompey...

It must really hurt that we don't need a sponsor mustn't it? Whip around anyone?

Will they charge £3 extra if you buy it online?

To be fair, if it reaches his midrift he should call it Kong...
-
lolol He means Stu or Dune... Freudian but epic...

The more I see the new kit, the more I love it... We are still talking about the kit aren't we?
-
Actually mate, it was Chris Marsden...

It was the last issue with the red and white stripes before I went with a full picture cover...
-
If it's down to a dance off, I think we've got them...
-
I'll get my bells... Saints fans celebrate the launch of the new home kit...
-
Pretty much exactly what I said when I first saw it this morning, for the life of me I cannot see how people can't love it?

I really like it, for a season mind you, as I like my shirts with red and white stripes. Can't help but feel we'll look like Morris men... Could someone explain to me how the Echo has been drawn into all of this? If the club released the photos at a certain time to ensure the Echo couldn't get photos in the early edition then surely that's rather worrying. With such a great season coming up do we really need the club even thinking about delaying photos to **** the Echo off? We should be pulling in the same direction surely? Yes the Echo need the club more than the club needs the Echo but the club needs the fans more than fans need the club if you look at it that way. FFS, lets just all pull together and enjoy the frigging season eh?

And it will never ever work. You will get someone saying, "Well he/she doesn't speak for me" and the whole thing will descend into farce, not because it's a bad idea but you will always get someone who will resent it and shout them down. Look at this thread alone, two distinct groups arguing hammer and tongs about a problem that really should be as black and white as they come. The club has torn up it's own fans charter and given fans no warning whatsoever that the previously promised installment plans and half season tickets would be stopped. No warning at all. That is the issue here... For all the smug smartarses who seem to think those people who can't magic £350 out of their backsides are somehow "bad with money" or "living beyond ther means" I sincerely hope that the club do something within the next 12 months that riles and you upsets you so we can all laugh at your expense. Just because it doesn't affect you doesn't mean it's not a valid issue. Me, I'm good with my money, budget well, save well and have no money problems at all. I save money each month for shares, isas and a "rainy day" fund. The rainy day money is my spending money for my holiday in Turkey otherwise I'd use it on buying my season ticket. I will be going game by game, wanted a season ticket but with a holiday this month and paying off my credit card in July I cannot justify the large payment in one go. I'm not overly worried about it, am happy to pay more for my ticket but can see the underlying issue here. The club has torn up it's own charter and then had the nerve to tell fans, "Well that was last years charter" as if having their ethics are liable to change at short notice. I object to the smug assholes on here who seem to think they are more deserving of a season ticket because they have a credit card and other don't and that if you can't afford to pay a lump sum in one go you're somehow a lesser person for it. Those people who are not getting season tickets aren't poor or bad with money, they are simply people who do budget, who do count the pennies but in and around that budgeting they were told, by the club, that an established payment method would be kept and were subsequently lied to. That is the issue here not the making arrogant assumptions about people's fianances...

SIST? A new name for that Trust needs to be found and soon....

You'd have to be dead not to be excited about the new season, I can't wait... Must admit I'm disappointed I'm not renewing my season ticket but life goes on. As for the price increases, well I guess if you don't want to be the next Pompey then you have to pay for what you want to see and support a sustainable football club. It's going to be strange supporting a successful club but it's something I'm quite prepared to live with..

Different Ownership and Managment, same old summer

I disagree, if I was a high flying executive the first place I'd announce my intended players would be an internet forum....
