Let me get this straight, accusing someone of being, in your words, "Uppity" now has racist overtones?? Perhaps it's just me but I find it deeply ironic to see people spouting all sorts of nonsense about racism whilst desperately searching for some sort of tenuous link to racism? So someone accuses Puncheon of being Billy Big Balls, or uppity as you put it, and you run off with some ridiculous comparison that perhaps that as he's black it's an analogy about having ideas above his station?? White or black, surely having ideas above one's station is a class thing not a race thing? Personally I think there's more racism in people desperately looking for racist overtones in these posts than anything else on this thread...

Nothing like the Brighton situation. Adkins made a cheeky, off the cuff comment. Hardly offensive but Brighton fans dragged it around all season.... Holloway was rude and off hand about Saint fans and above all was a complete and utter hypocrite. He moaned about teams fielding weakened sides against teams around him in the relegation zone and then fielded a weakened team against us. He moaned about clubs tapping up his players but didn't care one jot about turning Puncheon's head. Did he criticise his own fans when they sang "Champions League you're having a laugh" when they were beating Liverpool?? No? No rivalry with Blackpool, just a certain amount of Schadenfreude...

So often slander/libeled/slagged on here but I bumped into the big man yesterday outside the Chapel Arms. A car pulled up and was stopped by my mate Rich... It was Lawrie Mac. We were in dj's and bow ties and the Echo had run a small piece about how we were celebrating the last game in tribute of my mum who passed away in September. Lawire had obviously read the piece and said "Which one of you lads's mother passed away recently?" "Mine," I replied. "God bless her, son, God bless her." and he shook my hand... People can say what they want about the man but that was a lovely thing to say....

I think anyone who slags off League One, didn't really get League One... No commercialization, no posturing prima donas, no obscene wages, just proper football fans who take the more difficult option and support their team rather than the likes of Man Utd, Chelsea or Arsenal, just football grounds as opposed to football stadiums. I think League One took this club, cleansed it, gave it back its heart, gave it back its soul and then left it with hope... Thank you League One

And you know what? I'd rather read a post like that from you than any of that "Oh so you think you're an Uber fan because you go to games" bull**** from Alpine...

Actually I'd have thought this thread was more a celebration of people's devotion to the cause even in League One... I've been to 15 games this season as I just haven't been able to afford it with inheriting a house that is an absolute money pit. But do you know what? I applaud every fan who goes to any games in this League... FFS...

Good points... Pompey only beat us by fielding players that they really shouldn't have been allowed to sign as they were trading whilst insolvent and shouldn't have been allowed to use the transfer window. 3 of their goalscorers should have been illegible... Man Utd, as pointed out, only really out played us then they brought on the big guns. Their reserves would out play any Championship side and we met them pound for pound... I'm absolutely sure we'd be top ten with this squad. A few quality additions and the play offs are a real possibility...

And yet they do... The club arranges a free game, that most normal people would look forward to and yet people mock the gesture and moan about the timing, the players on show and the ticketing arrangements... Seriously, we gain promotion, the club offers a free game... and some people moan? ffs...

Sorry, couldn't disagree more if I tried... We're already a good midtable Championship side, better than Millwall or Leeds. There is a very small gap between the Championship and League 1... The gap between the Premiership and the Championship is vast..

Point is that all three of last years promoted teams have done well in the Championship. Millwall, Leeds and Norwich have all been up there and that shows the real strength of this league. But for an end of season hiccup Leeds would have been in the playoffs and Millwall were there or thereabouts all season... We have money, we have ambition and are already, I'd say, a good mid table Championship side... A few smart additions and this team is more than able of hitting the playoffs... Winning's a good habit to get into and this team is full of winners...

I really can't believe people actually want Bournemouth to go up ahead of Huddersfield, seriously.... Bournemouth fans have been nothing but a bunch of ****s towards us, they're only in the playoffs because Orient and Rochdale imploded and ****ed up. From a football point of view and if for no other reason than the sheer guts and determination they've showed I hope Huddersfield storm the playoffs and stuff the cherries... Their fans are a decent bunch too... Come on Huddersfield...
