I am! and I'm bringing friends with me... lol
-
No, I meant a Pompey fan with over 500 posts on a Saints messageboard... ffs
-
You make them sound like they're shreddies... Pompey's new kit.... hand made by nannas.....
-
Christ Nick, anyone would think this is a Saints messageboard... ffs..
-
I love WGS and would happily have his babies....
-
Does anyone really care what happen with Pomepy and their takeover? I really couldn't give a sheet and just want the new season to start....
-
Sorry CL, but I find it very hard to find any sympathy, if Um is doing what you claim he is, as Sundance/19C/etc did exactly that to me and tried his level best to discredit my opinion and besmirch my credibility by portraying me as some grief stricken weirdo who wanted to deliberately undermine the club with my own cancer driven agenda. That wasn't the case but that didn't stop him posting crap on other message boards, slagging me off and discrediting me. Now all of a sudden he's the "victim" and we're all supposed to feel sorry for him? Not a chance. If has genuine issues then that's sad, mental illness is a terrible curse but perhaps he'd remember ridiculing me as a "Tin rattler" not so long ago and perhaps now think twice when it's HIS illness that's the subject of ridicule/disbelief Quite frankly i wouldn't believe a word that comes out of this posters mouth, it's as if as soon as he posts something that angers people he plays the "Feel sorry for me card" or if he gets grief then he'll play the "Someone I know suffers from this (name the affliction) card" Either way I find it highly ironic that he's now playing the victim. That said I do have him on ignore and only found out via Um, and on ignore he will stay so Ponty's point is noted.....

I suggest you save your comments and pop down to Canterbury and show some support to your current "rich" chairman, Gaydamak, as he invested so much money in them and they have now gone bust. Why not buy a shirt? Oh sorry, you can't as your shirt suppliers are in administration and you have no new kit for the forthcoming season.... Schedenfraude and all that... lol
-
Steve, I didn't know 19C had any "mental Health issues" (though I should have guessed.) Shame on you for being so mean... Mental Health isssues are a very real and very serious problem.... I would try and raise money for mental health trusts etc but some people on here wouldn't appreciate me "Rattling tins" so I won't bother... Quite how 19c can get on his high horse about his "illness" and yet went on to mock me about about my aim to raise money for cancer research is beyond me. Schedenfraude springs to mind... Not so funny when it's something personal to you is it?
-
But it is soooo annoying, both sides. We've got ourselves what appears to be a fantastic chairman and appear to have been incredibly lucky but we still have people who just can't let it go.... Please people, just let it go and enjoy the moment...
-
Indeeed there are... But I wasn't talking about you though... There are people out there for whom Pearson will always be a "Crouch" appointment and therefore not rated.... Sad really..
-
FFS.... One person is OTT by saying he's a future England manager but really, the rest hardly constitute a mass love in.... And taking Wes' post of "I'd love it" and using that as an example is scraping the barrell.... I think you've just proved my point....
-
But again, where has this alledged love in come from? I see no evidence that people on here see him as anything more than a good manager, not a messiah, not great manager.... just a good one.. That's just a myth perpatrated by people with an agenda...
-
Am I missing something? How long has Nineteen been barking? link please...
-
To be fair you did make a very good point and that is why would we consider Shearer when his record and Adams' are very, very similar. It should teach us not to use those Red & White spectacles so often....
-
It's a bit rich really, starting a thread where only one side of the debate can be discussed and then sulking when no one, not one single person, can find a positive in your entire point. Your assumption that those of us who somehow can't find a positive in the possible appointment of Adams are somehow slightly thick, is lost in four of the most ludicrous "points" I've seen in terms of positive attributes. 1) Good leader for Arsenal and England. So good players always make good managers then eh? Glad to have that nugget in print. 2) Lower League experience Did exactly jack sh it at Wycombe Play 53 W12 L20 D21 and unless I'm mistaken got them relegated. Hardly the "experience" I'd be looking for. Funny how people can slag Pearson off when he saved us from relegation but consider Adams to be a possible choice when he took Wycombe down... Odd... 3) English (important to some) Not important to anyone who has a brain. Best man for the job please, regardless of where he was born. 4) Young(ish) Again, not improtant to anyone who has a brain. I'd prefer a manager who's worldly wise and experienced in the world of football. Age, like place of birth, is completely irrelevent...
-
Can't argue with that can you? Tony Adams is a no no on every level...

"Crocodile Shoes" and "Love Don't Live Here Any More" were cracking songs....

Poll: Would you be happy for Pearson to be our manager?
Daren W replied to St Marco's topic in The Saints
Again, could someone please tell me just who has cannonised Peearson on ths thread or any other thread? All I have ever seen are comments along the line of Pearson being a good enough manager who could turn into an excellent manager given the chance... Looks as if, with one title already under his belt, he's well on his way to becoming one. I'm sick and tired of the lazy way people on here seem to assign this psuedo messiah tag to Pearson as it's the only stick they can use to batter him with. Their usual retort is "Well we'll see what he does from now on" which was made pretty much redundant when he won a title at his first attempt. Now they attempt to smear him with some completely made up assumption that his admirers think he's some messiah whch is patently wrong. For the record I think most people think Pearson has great potential. He didn't take us down, showed a good eye for loanees and, despite the slurs of some posters on here, brought the title in with a quite young side. It's highly ironic that some of Pearson's fiercest critics are the ones who heaped praise on Portveilt and Wotte and were made to look rather foolish when both managers failed abysmally... The way some posters on here constantly berate Pearson just because he is perceived as Crouch appointment is just pathetic, plain and simple. The man is a title winning manager with excellent knowledge of the league we're in. It's not about Crouch or Lowe, they're history, the past and they'll stay there. For ****s sake, will some people on here just forget about it. Pearson's a good manager. I'd prefer Strachn, Keegan or Coppell but I'd be perfectly happy with Nigel.... -
The best thing seems to be the realistic approach from the new men. We're a League One club and they're preparing for us to be a League One with a good, solid, promotion aiming League One Budget... The one thing I desperately didn't want was for us to be another Chelsea/Man City and be a rich man's toy that other clubs despise... I see great things on the horizon...
-
I've always been happy to be Saints fan, the alternative doesn't bear thinking about.. On the positive front, for the first time in years I'm looking at the official website...
-
Just because Ashley's a tw at doen't mean we should be on alert with Leibherr's desire to meet the fans. If Mike Ashley hadn't existed we'd all be delighted at this particular gesture...

Actually look at the original post oh supremely intellectual one and see how the whole post is geared towards blaming Crouch. There is no mention of Wilde or Lowe or Hone or Dulieu just a snide insinuation that Crouch somehow blew the majority of £40 million. Now if you can't retract your head from your own agenda and see that my point is perfectly valid and that rather than defend Crouch I'm actually asking for some parity in the blame gaming that goes on here, then words fail me... Again, he was chairman for four months odd and before that was a board member, and there are numerous board members who have escaped scot free in the blame game. Do we ever see any of the Pro Lowe mob blaming the others? No the vast majority of the blame is lumped at Crouch's door whilst Hone, Dulieu Wilde and Lowe skip off into the sunset blameless. At least with the new single owner we won't have to listen to your agenda driven drivel much any more...
-
What £40 million was that then? Was that spent in his 4 months as chairman or during the year and a half under Wilde when he was just a board member? Be very interested to see how he's solely responsible for that....
-
Bit of a shame in so much as Wotte could have been an excellent Academy manager/executive... I'd hate to lose his experience... I've got a dream list of Strachan or Keegan and a realistic list of Coppel or Hoddle
