  1. My fireworks do feel slightly peed on.... And I do hold you responsible...
  2. FFS.. what does it take to get some positivity off some people??
  3. Is it correct that Flash was the front man for the other bid mate?
  4. I know, and that's why I highlighted your post... The two people most guilty of screwing this club are Lowe and Wilde. Crouch did **** up but he more than redeemed himself by keeping the club afloat whilst the other two skulked away and hid.... Anyway, I digress, it's ridiculous for me to slag either of these three off when the future is so bright. Goodbye bickering boardrooms, goodbye splintered fanbases... Hello Marcus...
  5. Sadly some people just won't have the good grace to say that. Hopefully Leon will have some role on the board but nothing more than that so he can just enjoy being a fan again. New start an' all....
  6. I love Marcus.... http://www.facebook.com/group.php?gid=106167575894&ref=nf&__a=1#/group.php?gid=106167575894&ref=nf Fact...
  7. Quote of the day from pompeyfansonline.net "Oh dear...seems like the people behind the new bloke pulled out and the new man was told told that if HE didn't buy it then it was all over for scum.....As he didn't want to lose face and have that on his hands he agreed...Basically he doesn't want it and has a dud on his hands...FAF..." Without a doubt the most retarded post I think I've ever seen... ever!
  8. Good thread Gordon, watch it descend into the usual farce in no time... Hopefully the new people will invest in Saints' most valuable asset... Its fans. Far too often, under previous regimes, the fans have been taken for granted and, for want of a better word, abused. When we were first relegated Season ticket holders gave their money in advance only to see people who paid game by games getting better deals. Since then there have been numerous instances of the club treating fans like absolute crap. It's been a bugbear of mine for many years, since the Taylor report clubs have milked fans for all their worth. As soon as grounds became all seater ticket prices have reached obscene levels and families have priced out of the game. The championship gave the club a real chance to bring families back and give the club some moral centre. And they failed. Instead the club continued to milk "customers" as such a lot of people stopped going not because the club was in a lower league but because football just wasn't fun or fan friendly. You're over charged, treated like cattle, shouted at, spoken to (on many occasions) as if your the **** on some steward's shoes... You're paying top dollar for tickets. Apart from football, where would you pay that sort of money and be spoken to like that? It must be the only consumer market where fee paying customers can be treated so appallingly. If you were spoken to like that at a night at the theatre what would you do? Go back next week or complain? Just because we're loyal doesn't mean we should accept such bad customer service. Clubs should bear in mind this, that if you want to talk to us like we're crap the fine, charge us proper football prices and even it out. If you want to charge top dollar then increase your customer services and treat the "customers" with respect! Open Staplewood up more, allow fans to watch training a bit more. Get the players into the community more, get kids into the ground more, price family tickets (get a family ticket adult and any one kid under 12 go free) drop season ticket prices or give them more benefits. Just give the fans something back and treat them with some respect and not do as previous regimes have done and think they're so much better than the fans who pay everyones wages.. The club is the heart of the community. Lets hope the new owners go out into the community, talk to the fans, be more open, more fan friendly and give this club back its heart.
  9. I know quite few of them and I think you should shut the **** up.... You know nothing of what happened at Weymouth apart from a group of Saints fans on a day out to pay their respects to recently deceased fellow Saints fan. You make a whole load of assumptions of what sort of people they are and roundly insult them all.. No doubt groups of friends meeting up for a drink confuse a lot of the internet obssessed saddos on here who have no friends at all... I doubt very much any of these muppets would ever dare be so mouthy to these people's faces. It would appear they only possess balls whilst sat behind a computer screen. Ironic that they slag people off for "causing trouble, being mouthy and being embarassing" and then do the very same thing here, albeit virtually and online.... Pathetic, the lot of you...
  10. Ouch! I think the problem with administration, as has been mentioned before on this thread, is that we went into it too late. The fact that we come with a crippling 10 point deduction, that effectively rules out promotion straight back to the Championship, puts many serious bidders off... Yet another reason to thank the previous administration....
  11. Or you could say that Jackson's consortium don't have the money and are softening the blow when they would eventually have to show their hand.. Jackson couldn't organise the buying of Bournemouth ffs... I found the piece a biassed piece of crap, unsubtly trying to paint a simplified picture of things. Good bid, bad bid...
  12. Spot on... But what would this place be like without mass hysteria..
  13. But his hands were tied by a crap chairman. Given support, both emotionally and finacially, Keegan delivers. Oh, and before the smartarses start on with the "Oh, so I expect him to sign Ronaldo then" Keegan did work well under a limited budget at Fulham and an average budget at Man City so he can work lower league... it has been proved..
  14. But no one knows. Everyone is assuming what they think he's thinking just to suit an agenda/point of view. It may well be that working grass roots has replenished his appetite for the game and going back to a club that adores him might be just what he needs... A chance to prove people wrong and go out on a high.. None of us know. All I know that in a hypothetical debate I'd be a fool to dismiss someone of his stature on grounds that people think he's lost his appetite. Oh, and as for living in the past, football is all about the past. It's about past glories, it's seldom about the here and now. You buy a player based on what he's achieved in the past so why should that not be true of managers? Is Arsene Wenger crap? What's he won recently? Much? No, but historically he's a good manager and with what he's won in mind he has the capacity to be great again. So has Keegan, not quite the glory days of Man City or Newcastle, but crappy old league One Saints? Hell why not???
  15. Nope, he'll think, like most of us, that you're an unpleasant, post Euro 96, football hanger on who thrives on attention. He'll think that, in life, you're rather unremarkable and thrive on being a cyberwarrior/internet personality. He'll think that you probably avoided sport at school and spent most of your gym classes in your underwear and now follow "footy" to ingratiate yourself on the sort of blokes who avoided you like the plague at school...
  16. Don't forget promoting Newcastle, Man City and Fulham. How many managers have achieved as many promotions/lower league championships, as him? Anyone know? (not you Numpteen, this is a football question)
  17. typical, let's completely ignore him as the man who transformed Fulham and took them up the leagues and let's concentrate on recent "failures." 1) His failure to take Newcastle down 2) His failure to ressurect Man city 3) His failure to do anything with Fulham 4) His failure to win the league with Newcastle oh and 5) His failure to win the world cup.. It's truly inbelievable how some fans (ie Numpteeen Canteen) can try and claim the "intellectual" high ground and "think football not fairytales" They'll completely ignore the fact athat at the very heart of thing, Keegan is a bloody good manager. Ask any Man City fan, ask any Geordie, ask any Fulham fan and they'll tell you exactly the same... Their club was only healthy thanks to his involvement. It's childish, churlish and rather obtuse to just look at his recent record and ignore his very real achievments. The man has a successful track record at this and all other domestic levels. He failled as England manager. So did Ericsson, the difference being that Ericsson milked the FA for months after his dismisal, Keegan felt out of his depth and fell on his sword. Ask old Numpteen who he'd rather have as manager and he will go for Ericsson, which would show his complete and utter obsessive dislike of anything pre Lowe and his complete and utter lack of knowledge of football... So his recent track record is patchy, if it was a player we'd quote "Class is permanent etc" so why has Keegan suddenly become useless? The man has every experience needed. It is extremly blinkered to assume that Keegan is over the hill now. Give him a real challenge, give him a good chairman and I have every reason to believe that this club has a chance. But hell, no... Let's concentrate on dragging McMenemy into the conversation shall we numpteen? Would I accept Keegan as manager, even if just for a few years? Hell yes! I'd take Keegan any day of the week. Ideally I'd have Keegan as manager and Shearer as assistant with Keegan moving upstairs and Shearer eventually taking the reigns, hell I can dream can't I? Just get over it and **** off will you?
  18. Absolutely spot on. Some see weakness and an inability to stay and face the music. Some see honesty and an ability to see your own limitations... I would be ecstatic if the man came here. LeTissier as chairman and Keegan as manager? It would be a ****ing dream come true!
  19. I didn't realise that bad grammar excludes you from being successful in business... "Sorry Mr Smith, without the correct use of a spellchecker I must cease doing business with you...." Laughable really...
  20. Well if they all die at once then obviously the programme'll be ****ed...
  21. Well if you think the club doesn't need to care if a fan passes away then you've learnt nothing from the last ten years, not me.... Clubs will find out in this recession that you can't have customers, you have to have fans, loyal ones at that, and that's something this club drove away in their hoards over the last ten years... Me, I don't give a **** about billionaires, Arabs or Sven Goran Ericksson... I just want a club I can feel proud of.... HTH
  22. I will be getting my seat back for next season on a season ticket... If that doesn't get the troll fishing, nothing will...
  23. So we're just customers then? Ok, I'll just shop around for a cheaper season ticket... In the meantime I think it would be a touching gesture from the club to mention fans who have passed away...
  24. Well if Mike wants to get a point across and doesn't want to sign up then so what? Considering the amount of abuse the poor man gets why would he want to register and post on here?
  25. He's not Mike Osman.... But he's as close to him as you'll get...
