And just to add to your hilarity..... Cranie is reported to have been sold to Coventry today... http://www.coventrytelegraph.net/coventry-city-fc/coventry-city-fc-news/2009/08/12/martin-cranie-set-for-coventry-city-fc-medical-92746-24382016/ I bet you're still finding it funny now aren't you? *that still makes me chortle, pfc123 says they're no better than Bolton and that's why skates stayed away in their droves but you call them the champions of all of Scotland... lmfao
-
"Keith Harris and Orville enjoyed a rapturous reception at St Marys..." I wish I could fly, right up to the sky but I can't...
-
I think so! I don't think they've actually bought anyone yet! I may be wrong, but I've checked the BBC and Soccerbase and I've yet to see anything other than loans and freebies.. ****ing hilarious isn't it?
-
It's miles away and you know it... Two friendlies in a week and on the same day as the Hants game. I personally know of 25 fans who prefered Hants or a second consecutive friendly. I think we need to ascertain what sort of opposition Rangers are. You beat them and they're the champions of Scotland and a Champions League side You get a paltry 9,000 in attendance and they're not that great a draw and no better than Boton or Hull... Just face facts, for your main pre season game 9,000 is a ****ing discgrace. Just as being outspent by a League One side when you're a Premiership outfit... Attendances, signings, chairmen, stadiums, set ups..... It's just not your year is it?
-
From the poster with over 600 posts on a Saints messageboard.... lol
-
But Nick, he did score two goals against the Scottish Champions in front of a record Fratton crowd... lol Rangers, one minute they're the equivilent of Stoke, the next the're champions of the whole of Scotland.... oh to be a skate!
-
Still my favourite recent quote from pompeyfansonline.net about Markus... "Oh dear...seems like the people behind the new bloke pulled out and the new man was told told that if HE didn't buy it then it was all over for scum.....As he didn't want to lose face and have that on his hands he agreed...Basically he doesn't want it and has a dud on his hands...FAF..." Without a doubt the most retarded post I think I've ever seen... ever!
-
£1million spent by a League One club compared to .... um... **** all spent by your Premiership club... Looks like pedigree is all you have these days... lol
-
Your club's a joke and so, quite frankly, is your post... Cheers! You've made my day....
-
Not according to the Mail. The season starts in 10 days at home to Fulham and the transfer window closes on August 31, a significant date at Fratton Park. It is when £36m of bank loans — the majority of which are owed to the Standard Bank of South Africa — must be repaid. According to them there's still £67 million outstanding, probably including the above sum and the wonderful £24m loaned to the club by owner Gaydamak at an annual interest rate of 15 per cent. Touche... methinks... Read more: http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-1204358/The-dream-nightmare-Portsmouth-plummet-oblivion.html#ixzz0NcWbHa4U oh, our second friendly at St Marys in a week? The first one we drew 22,000, well over double your attendance, and that for a League One club, that you did for a Premiership club... Touche that... lolol
-
Far from it, I don't he's hinting at anything other than the way Gaydamak has right royally screwed you. A £20 million loan at 15% p/a? Still £60 million in debt? It's effing horrendous... Still on the bright side, you only need to build a 9,000 capacity stadium...
-
The point here that no one's touched on is how much it would cost to make Pompey even slightly competitive in the Premiership... New stadium? £50/60 million? New training ground? £2-3 million? New players required for a mid table finish? £30 million? That's nearly £100 million before you start. That's an awful lot of money with very little chance of clawing any money back... I seriously can't see anyone wasting that sort of money... but then again you never know. Just don't write off the value of having all that stuff already there for you.
-
True but right now they are shocking and in a terrible downward spiral and for all the obvious negatives I'd seriously rather be in our shoes over the next few seasons.
-
Sounds a close run thing then... lol
-
And your point is what? We're still bottom? So what? I've had enough of misery and moaning. I'm actually happy about my club for the first time in a long time. I've had enough of skates sticking their oar in and taking the p1ss, now it's their time to get some stick. If you don't like it, tough.
-
1-7 at home is still bloody poor, especially for a team that all of us think are title contenders... The point is there, nothing in this league, or the one above us, is set in stone and anything can happen in the next 9 months or so...
-
Because right now, it's funny as fook! lol
-
hmmm Not answered the point there methinks... You've not touched any nerve, that would indicate you have a point or anything approaching a brain cell or two. 9,000 and as Scally so eloquently out it, half of them probably Rangers fans.. In the meantime, thank you for your input, it is most amusing if not embarrassing...
-
Actually retard, get it right, we all know it's a pre season. You obviously don't seem to know as you're on a Saints messageboard when all 9,000 of your fellow fans are watching a game! You get all prissy and accuse Delldays of lying but if anyone's been lying about attendance's it's been you and your "You seldom sold the Dell out" bullsheet which is an out and out lie. We operated at 95% capacity in the Premiership. The fact is you're a Premiership club and you've racked up a mighty 9,000 at home for an attractive pre season game aginst Rangers! And just can't see how utterly ridiculous you look by saying "Actually it's 9,000" as if it's something to boast about!! Your club's a joke, your support's a joke and when the hardcore blue few are at Fratton you're on a Saints messageboard debating sh1t... And as for shot down in flames, can you not read you moron? Read the original post and then call me names. It's about position, not league postion but overall position. Your position is 9,000 for a high profile pre season game. Thanks for proving my point.... I'd much rather be in our position than yours... lol You couldn't make it up...
-
Please... tell me you haven't just boasted that your attendance against Rangers isn't 4k but 9k? For, funnily enough, a Premiership club, that is appalling....
-
Seriously??? Now that is funny! I've always said that their support is not at all like ours. We moan like **** and are a miserble lot but when the going gets tough, for some reason we rally round and work better as fans. They seem to desert the sinking ship. It annoys me when skates snipe about attendance at the Dell when even at our worst in the Premiership we operated at 95% attendance. Look at us now, 12,000 season tickets and rising for a League One side. You compare that to the early to mid nineties when Fratton Park was two thirds empty.
-
Murty and Harding... both looked excellent. Paterson... Looked a much, much better prospect than last year when I was distinctly uninpressed with him. Schneiderlin... Looked terrific with great vision. The defence overall looking much more stable. Saganowski ... Looked lively, albeit a few loose passes. All in all, considering Millwall are considered to be favourites for promotion and we're a makeshift side, bloody good.
-
But again, you 're missing the point. I'm not talking about the Premiership or League One. A choice... A league One club that has come out the other side and is optimistic, stable and secure, albeit it starting with -10 points but now on the way up. Compared to a club in a higher league but in total meltdown, players leaving in their droves, unable to balance the books, in an antiquated ground, no infrastructure and no direction and very much heading towards administration and relegation, regardless of where they finish in the league. For a makeshift side against promotion favourites, we looked bloody good today.. Again I would rather be us strong and looking forwards than strained, weak and unstable and looking over our shoulders... Is it really that hard a point to put across? Just what does it take for people to feel really upbeat about this club?
