Sure, but as a shot-stopper, he's been excellent. To be honest, I don't think there's anyone in League one I'd swap him for.

Hardly a new thought, but he has, again, been bloody brilliant so far this season IMO. Hope everyone realises how lucky we are to have him in this league, and I will personally enver forget that he could have gone to West Ham very easily.

What do you mean? Interestingly, I would take all the yellow ones off you if they were just red and yellas, because a council establishment is lacking about 5 yellow ones. But obv. doesn't help with colours. Also, are you doing OK financially? Because citizens advice bureau can offer free financial guidance to those struggling. Just putting it out there. Also I know there are some financial dvisers on these boards who might be willing to give a bit of informal help?

It's a good point that it was sort of fun being clear underdogs in virtualy every game. Winning was fantastic, and draws were usually a triumph for several seasons. And yes, every tackle, every header. Brilliant.

I haven't started it yet, I am waiting for a PC option file with the championship. Can you not create your own team then? I usually edit PES united or whatever to be Saints with the current lineup, being honest about stats, then start from there.

The nineties were my formative Saints years. I first went in the 80s but really remember the 90s as my Saints youth. Not yoof. Despite the multiple escapes, it was always a good laugh and while I know we had to move, I feel lucky that I'm not too young to have known the intimacy and history of the Dell.

You're absolutely right. I don't have kids, but I've worked with young people for 7 years and seen an awful lot of parenting, bad kids, good kids, daft decisions, regrets, laziness, etc. It's clear to me that you can't force any child to do something without unreasonable means, and you'll only get resentment and rebellion if you do, as is the normal. Yet if you can get them to understand the whys and so on for themselves, you're 90% there. Some people will always make bad choices, no matter what you do, but as long as you're a decent role model and you can honestly say you've tried within reason, as much as you can to do what is right for them - not just for you, or easiest - and not just by giving them things, but also aspirations, opportunities, decent values etc - then I reckon you can look back with no regrets. It'll always be easy to say 'where did we go wrong' and examine details in hindsight if anything in the future messes up, but.. again, as long as you can say you did what you could, you're a good parent IMO.
