  1. Ok ok. I'll get it back on track [oops] How come Dog has eaten Badger, if it isn't roadkill..? Protected species, and all that.
  2. Sadly, the Youtube clip has been removed. Unlike MOTD, where they digitised the lad's face out, the original SKY footage shows him as clear as can be. His life changed for the worse from that point. EDIT: Ah, that one will do, Dog.
  3. You don't have to remember it matey, you can find it on Youtube. Very edited highlights: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ejel8lqB544 Around 3m36s - 3m53s. I know Murray Walker loved motorcycle racing more than cars [his father was a motorcycle racer], but I wish he'd stuck to 4 wheel commentaries. His shouting style is just so... well, annoying. NB: The Honda 400 Four was a nice bike.
  4. It's just the Sun thinking it is being topical, doing a cheats list and including his spread-bet scam. Remember to gauge the average IQ of a Sun reader and you might get it. Just wish Le Tiss hadn't been so bloody honest as to include it in his book, in the first place.
  5. They are indeed mate. LC's were very much bikes for the racerboy, and actually quite safe provided you didn't go over the limit, in that they had very good handling, for the time. Not my cup of tea though, as since I left my Lambretta GP125DL, many many years ago, I've been pretty much a 4-stroke bike rider, as I like the type of power. But I can still see the appeal of the RD350. One 2-stroke I did like, power wise, but definitely NOT handling, was a Suzuki GT750, a distant friend of mine had. I had a go on it back in the late 1970's. Power felt great, but it was a bloody awkward monster to get round corners. That thing weighs dry as much as my VFR800FiY when it is full up with oil and 5.5 gallons of petrol. And mine has fairings as well. You sit on that Suzuki like you're a 12 year old. The model is actually the detuned road going version of Barry Sheene's Grand Prix racing bike. NB: Glad to see you found The Hamster.
  6. You may not like it matey. IIRC, you or yours had an accident on a motorbike several years back. Well this is a VFR forum. http://www.bikersoracle.com/vfr/forum/ Have a wee look around and you'll see The Hamster.
  7. This is actually quite an interesting race. Button is very fired up.
  8. Well, back in the days of when I delved into playing a bit of golf, someone had a go at stealing my clubs from the back of my car. I was round the front of the car with the hatch open, and as they walked up, I walked around and reached for the 3-Wood. 1. Because I was pretty accurate with a 3-Wood. 2. Because my Driver was in excellent nick, because I used it less. 3. I actually thought I'd injure the bloke too much if I hit him with an iron. He ran off. Of course, you could use a Louisville Slugger..! HTH.
  9. Talking about Hamster, there's a bloke on another forum I occasionally pop across to called The Hamster. Not you is it..?
  10. Hmm... tricky one. It reminds me of the film Local Hero, where the characters knock over a rabbit, in their Ford Cortina, and then try to nurse it back to health, only for the hotel/restaurant owner, where they were staying, to turn it into rabbit stew.
  11. I've eaten Rabbit, Pigeon, Crow and Squirrel. Never had the rest on your list. However, just to expand the odd theme a bit, I've had Crocodile, Kangaroo and Ostrich. And of course, Shark. The Kangaroo and Ostrich [9] were superb; the Shark [7] was pretty damn good, and the Crocodile [1] was yuck. Oops... eaten Horse [9] in France, which was also excellent, and Frogs legs many, many years ago, when I was young and naive. Again, superb [9], but once was enough, as I soon learned how they met their fate.
  12. True. You can have someone following along behind to pick up the roadkill after you though. Idiotic, isn't it..?
  13. Fibber..!
  14. Oh yes, I forgot about you St Lard. I know we've exchanged some posts on our mutual admiration of Ramsey, Marco, etc... Apologies. Still can't believe anyone would pay £6 for a sandwich though.
  15. You've totally ignored St Chalet's advice, so I'll quote it again here.
  16. Could eveybody just STOP, right now, and get back to the subject of the thread, or go to another please, and let this one die. Thanks.
  17. OK, I've only just skipped down the thread, reading the odd one here and there, but don't any of you cook..? You seem to pay £6 for a sandwich, or someone else buys curry. How about learning to make these things yourself..? Once you've mastered it, it generally tastes a lot better than bought ready-made. Jillyanne - I know how you feel. Thankfully, I did remember to take the loin roast, I got from the Romsey farmer's market the other month, out of the freezer. Looking forward to that.
  18. Really..? Would you be willing to allow a recording of that to be made..?
  19. Yeah, I couldn't keep my eyes open any longer, having watched the 125s LIVE, so I've just watched my recording. Not a snore-fest, but perhaps one for the purist, as Stoner and Rossi were getting their bikes sideways out of Siberia corner. Highlights for me, were Lorenzo binning it on the very first corner, taking Hayden with him, although Nicky recovered; but it means Vale's hold on the Championship becomes that bit tighter now. Typically at Phillip Island, the big bikes do get strung out, so apart from the duel between Rossi and Stoner, the next bit of action going on way behind was for 4th place with something like 7 riders all in the space of about 5 bike lengths. JT was at the back of that lot, and then got signalled for a ride-through. Something about which he was extremely peeved about. De Angelis nearly ran himself and the man with the chequered flag off the track with his 4th place celebrations, but thankfully, no seagulls were hit, like Melandri did in practice. That was nasty. That was about it. The 125cc race was brilliant, and I've yet to watch the 250s, but I hear that was superb too, so looking forward to that. If you're utterly bored waiting for F1, they are both on the Red Button until race starts. Should get you into the right mood.
  20. Blimey, you've got your work cut out. Hope you find time to get some sleep mate.
  21. What a brilliant 125cc race. Simon is World Champion. Bradley Smith remains in 2nd. F**k me, that was good stuff.
  22. Yes, and thankfully there are still enough of us around to know what McMenemy was like first hand as a manager, at the time. So we know that the Geordie Patter, as you like to call it, was quite erudite, and well fashioned, in its own way. You don't appeal to great professionals and get them to come to a relatively small club, at the time, for next to nothing, by uttering cliched rubbish. When will you accept that there are some things you have yet to learn, and it might be worth your study, before you make an opinion known..? I find your attitude inexplicable. Is it personal..?
  23. The very thing I was going to suggest as an option, Will. You will, of course, need a DVD codec or program, such as Powerdvd, just for any media player you choose to use, so that it can resolve your vob file data.
  24. I never had you down as a knee-jerk reactionist. More of a slightly-opinionated-Saints-fan-who-sticks-his-neck-out-probably-a-tad-too-far-for-his-own-good-sometimes, type reactionist.
  25. I would have thought that info was obtainable off the net somehow. I don't know the answer, myself.
