  1. I think you've just been a bit unlucky. The Netgear DG834, I'm assuming you've got, is an excellent router, IMO, and usually very reliable indeed.
  2. There is that Saints v England thread hanging around on the main forum, which several of us have contributed to, and earlier it reminded me to have a look at Saints in action, after the England match. Bearing in mind that England were supposed to be playing a traditional fast Premier League game, according to the pundits, I wondered how ponderous and slow Saints would appear if I watched some highlights. The only DVD I had to hand was highlights of the JP Trophy. I couldn't believe what I was seeing. The pace of the, essentially League One, game was far faster than the England/Slovenia match I'd just witnessed. The other thing was the quality. I thought it was going to stink, but it held up well. Today, Rooney would have paid a mint to have had Lallana's first touch of the JPT Final, and the pace and accuracy of Antonio and Lambert's crossing was excellent. As to Lambert winning all the first phase balls, well it is why people jokingly suggested him for England in the first place. The work rate of all the Saints players was easily comparable, and I'm not surprised at all that we hammered Carlisle. We would have beaten a fair few supposedly better teams that day in March. I suppose what it really told me was, if England want to progress in the World Cup they are going to have to get a lot better.
  3. After the sash, I wouldn't mind a go at the red & white squares.
  4. I know the pundits were praising England's performance today, and there was a good improvement, but in all honesty, I still think they look ordinary. They were talking about the fast Premiership game being able to be played, because of the temperature and conditions in SA, but if that's the best they can do they are either going to get hammered at some point, or just outclassed in a low scoring game. Mind you, none of the teams really look that special, from what I have seen, compared to many sides of the past. Germany looked the business in their first game, but that's about it.
  5. You're forgiven.
  6. Oh dear. I can see embedding being disabled at this rate.
  7. I'll pass, on that one mate.
  8. Embedding is back..! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zZl3BDtT5cA
  9. This is a question that doesn't even need answering.
  10. Nope, don't worry. The institution lives on, hale and hearty. I just wondered whether I was the first one to discover his online comedy, or second, an alsoran or last. Here's a link: http://www.bbc.co.uk/comedy/clips/p0057y3n I know some people don't get him. I'm not sure he does himself. I often find him hilarious and a bit of a joy, because he truly is on the edge of a precipiece of ham-acting/humour/whatever. In truth, when he disciplines himself, he's a half decent classic actor too.
  11. Nope, no experience at all, trousers, but I can remind you of why you chose Pentax over everybody else. It was because they were as good as anybody else, with perhaps the exception of Nikon, but they weren't anywhere near Nikon price, they didn't weigh a ton, could fit into your pocket, unlike the competition, had quality lenses with the best bayonet fit going at the time, had the fastest light meters [gallium arsenide, none of your silicon rubbish ] on the market bar nobody, and... they looked simply gorgeous. Utterly reliable, only you didn't know it at the time, and built very well indeed. I have one as well, a Pentax [obviously, but I like the name] ME Super. All my additional lenses are classic Tamron. I was going to get an MX to go with it, but the ME Super proved to be so good, I never got around to it. I mean look at it. Isn't it cute..? If it was a woman it would be Marilyn Monroe. So sweet and compact for a classic camera, I'm going to have a look at the old 'un right now... Just checked. The light meter registered just as it should. I haven't been near the thing for ages. Great, great camera.
  12. Cheaters never prosper. That's what we always used to say, I mean look at Mara... oh..! I suspect the Northern Irish might be feeling a tad better.
  13. Who is the manufacturer..? How old is it..? Condition..? Is the leak at a [door] seal or is it just a hose..? It could mean the difference between keeping it and saying bye-bye. Have you seen how cheap dishwashers are..? [no jokes about old people, just a couple of beers, etc...]
  14. That was a Rizla Suzuki. Funnily enough, it is one of the slower factory bikes. Just managed to freeze the frame at the right point to see what it was. Seen this one..? WTF was going on here..? http://www.liveleak.com/view?i=4ad_1262081216 Made me recall that in certain parts of the world, for example Columbia, I believe it is illegal to have two people onboard a motorbike, due to a history of drive-by shootings.
  15. I watched that one my slowest PC, and the poor frame rate of the graphics card meant that the MotoGP bike was only a ghost in one frame. I'll have to view it a more powerful one. Sorry about the screw-up.
  16. The MotoGP race was really good but it was the least exciting of the lot. See if you can get the chance to watch the 125s and 600s [Moto2] on the iPlayer. Only one word for either of those - WOW..!
  17. Nor me.
  18. Silverstone makes its first appearance as a new track, with the MotoGP bikes. With Valentino out fo several months, with leg and shoulder injuries, it means everyone has just a slightly easier chance to make a mark. Frenchman, Randy DePuniet, he of the Playboy LCR Honda, nearly took pole position today, only for a last minute fast lap by Yamaha's Jorge Lorenzo. A shame, as it would have been the first satellite team pole for many a long season. 1. Lorenzo 2. DePuniet 3. Pedrosa In the 125s, Brit Bradley Smith was finally pipped by Marc Marquez, after leading early on. 1. Marquez 2. Smith 3. Espargaro [Pol] In Moto2, Brit Scott Redding was initially leading the field, but ended up 12th after several of his obviously better times were struck off, due to a directive that seemed to elude several riders knowledge. But then again, it was a new track for 99% of the riders, and of those who knew Silverstone from WSBKs and other events, their knowledge was of the old parts only. I expect Redding to do better, come race time. 1. Corti 2. Cluzel 3. Bradl All the riders loved Silverstone, especially DePuniet, who said it was the best track he'd ever ridden on. I expect it's the long, fast corners that Silverstone has so many of. I can personally vouch for the excitement of long fast corners, having gone round one at about 105-110mph last year myself. I nearly ca-ca'd myself, so you can accept that it was quite a thrill. They'd probably do the same at 140-150mph.
  19. Where did you go..? --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- England
