Thanks Peeps. Sounds bloody excellent, even though I note we have slowed the action down ever so slightly to HT. HT it is. -

I wonder..? Some of them are really give the ball a real thump, and getting no more than 65mph. Notice all the Bournemouth players have got relatively high speeds. Two on the highest of all, 74mph.

Notice he isn't wearing any. Must have thick socks on. -
Hmm, good point David. The only issue I would take with there is that Rupert Lowe happened to Saints, and not another club. In the seasons post 2003-04, I wouldn't have wished him on anyone. In QPR's case, their flaw is impatience. They haven't achieved success in recent years. In RL's case it was incompetence in football appointments, and an almost suicidal attempt to fail. He achieved that, at least.

On a forum where, if someone starts a thread with half a dozen ******* asterisks, and the next post is PMSL , and the next is brilliant, I found the [un]scripted exchange slightly amusing.

The chat about Murty's big left ski boot supporting his operation was amusing. Asked if his first touch had improved, by Pearce, Murty said, yeah, a bit. Leroy Rosenior said something like, it didn't take much to do that. To which Murty said wryly, Cheers..!

Yeah, and the last time Saints hesitated in bringing in a proper replacement player, it was for Michael Svensson, and that cost us dearly. I like Murty too though. Isn't it easier to cite the players who aren't up for the CCC..?

Yep. In the absence of clarity, people will jump to conclusions when a scenario is placed in front of them. I suggested it just might be something family orientated [loss of a close relative], at the time, but I really had no idea what it was. Still don't, but that's AP's private business. Hope everything gets resolved for him.

Things we need to do to become the best fans in the world
St Landrew replied to dune's topic in The Lounge
A couple of seasons ago, Wolves fans at Molineux, were singing we're going to beat them 7-6 to the tune of the whole world in his hands. Plus, they were backing Mick McCarthy to the absolute hilt. At that precise moment, they were losing 6-0 to Saints. That's what I call proper support, yet nobody talks about Wolves fans and great support in the same sentence. Brilliant support from Pompey is a bit of an urban myth. the core support may be impressive and loud, largely due to the high pitch that Play Up Pompey is sung out, but otherwise it seems nothing to write home about.
