Spot on but some blame must go to NC

Dejan Lovren hands in transfer request
Fitzhugh Fella replied to Saint-Armstrong's topic in The Saints
Does make me laugh that an hour after the Mail broke this story, the Echo are repeating it as fact claiming they have spoken to sources close to Lovren. Well, why didn't they do that yesterday. The echo truly is a rag -
Maybe we should have insisted that he speaks English. It is a bit of an insult to be frank

Fitzhugh Fella replied to Fitzhugh Fella's topic in The Saints
He's there until 12:30 and no the "banning" order on FB entering SMS only happened after the book went to the printers and we told NC that he would be attending the launch. -
With Father's Day this Sunday some of you might want to nip into Waterstones this Saturday, grab a copy of "All the Saints" and get Francis Benali (the man Cortese tried to ban) to sign it. I will be there helping to control the large crowd that is expected Incidentally Charles Miller the Saint that introduced football to Brazil is on p133 and I am just off to do an interview with Solent which I believe will be aired tonight.

p133 in "All the Saints". Doing an interview on him for Radio Solent this morning. Franny Benali doing a signing at Waterstones West Quay on Saturday 11am.

Les Reed spoke reasonably well but I can't help thinking the proof of the pudding will be in the eating.

So who was Saints best ever penalty taker
Fitzhugh Fella replied to Fitzhugh Fella's topic in The Saints
And Terry Paine at home v Forest 66-67. It guaranteed us staying up. I have that game on film and many Saints players could not watch as Terry ran up. -

Yet Beattie took just 12 pens for us and Lambert 34 so how can you say they were equal? #intrigued -

But this is about Saints, I daresay Matt missed a few for Guernsey Rangers -

But he did not have an 100% record -
So who was Saints best ever penalty taker
Fitzhugh Fella replied to Fitzhugh Fella's topic in The Saints
I know Peach missed at least 2 in the 20 odd he took and Beattie had a 100% record but only 12 -
Was it MLT with his 47 out of 48 or was it SRL with 34 out of 34? Certainly no one else comes near. So if your life depended on a penalty being scored who would you pick?

I don't think it Blackmore's job to generate good will towards us, nor is it his duty to propagate ill will. Just communicate news he considers to be true when he gets it. He often prefaces his tweets with "don't shoot the messenger". Like you I am pretty peeved with the media over the last few weeks especially that jerk Jackson from the Observer who maintained the Shaw deal was done and dusted but in Blackmore's case I know he at least is trying to get to the crux of the matter. Plus of course he has a job to do and saying nothing or slanting stories would soon cost him that job.

The truth hurts and I see you can't resist bringing out the old line "Duncan has an agenda". That is precisely what I mean about you can't resist jumping on a bandwagon. Tell me just what is my agenda in your original opinion, I would be very interested especially as now I am all hunky dory with the club as you put it. So come on spill the beans...prove you have an ounce of individualism in that mixed up mind of yours.
-
Absolutely spot on. Viking Warrior is a magnificent bandwagon jumper to the popular cause. He used to be one of the knitters at the bottom of the guillotine during the French Revolution!
-
You are making yourself look ridiculous and dare I say it, ignorant with your OTT criticism of Adam Blackmore. Have you never heard the phrase "don't shoot the messenger"? Adam is by far one of the more trustworthy journalists who tells it as he hears it. I have learnt to respect his tweets and updates as pretty reliable. Just because you don't like what you hear doesn't mean you should condemn the person who gives you the news. Remember he has connections with all the Saints players. You live a long way from the action and I think the remoteness is clouding your judgement judging by several of your recent posts.

Hodgson was answering a question put to him by Steve Grant no less

He's doing a book signing of "All the Saints" on Saturday week at West Quay Waterstones, @11.30!!!!!

Remember Crouch telling me he approached Tony Pulis who was then guiding Stoke to the Premiership and secured a deal that he would join Saints at the season's end if Stoke didn't go up. All totally illegal.

Will Saints ever be a "bigger fish in the sea"?
Fitzhugh Fella replied to Fitzhugh Fella's topic in The Saints
Yep, pretty much agree with all your sentiments, something has got to change. -

Not arguing with anything you say but you paint a bleak (but probably realistic) picture. -
