Bit of a struggle today - at times the team played like strangers. Adkins still hasn't got them properly organised I felt, although they were good in patches. Guly good in parts crap in others. An impact sub at best. First touch not good Chamberlain missed an easy one on one, he made some runs but our midfield seemed unable to find him. His inexperience showed today one cross fell short and the next one he overhit. Puncheon's loan transfer could yet hurt us Gobern looks elegant on the ball and made himself available but apart from his goal did not "do" a lot Bart did not put a foot wrong Jaidi (I was surprised he played considering how many games he has started) was pretty immense. Can be dodgy on the ground but still a vital presence Fonte tries to be a bit clever at times and could have conceded a pen in the 2nd H and got booked Dickson ok but not great going forward Lallana dangerous as ever with some beautiful turns and twists - sometimes needs to be more direct Lambert woeful Holmes over rated. Looks good and hugs the ball with his left foot but his crossing is erratic. Probably needs an extended run but his inability to avoid injury means he is always struggling to get rhythm and consistency. Richardson went off HT injured, did OK Hammond, energetic and involved but makes mistakes and doesn't shout. He is our lynchpin but never seems to direct others. An enigma Thats about it. Efficient enough but not impressive

Just back. One of the best 0-0 draws you will ever see. Saints by far the better side first half but couldn't score (good defending by B&HA). Second half they came at us and at times we were rocking a bit. To those not there 0-0 will sound disappointing but just like Saturday when 4-1 sounded great to those not there then this result is better than it looks. Brighton are no mugs. Good atmosphere tonight, an old fashioned match with the crowd really up for it. Downers? Chamberlain was shackled, Lambert again not quite there. Positives? Lallana at times looked awesome.

Redknapp, we all hate but we all know we missed out, don't we?

Have a deep think at what you just posted, do you think it really necessary? -
I see Nigel is "in the building" again. Interesting views on Gobern, these sort of players that have been around a couple of years it is make or break this year I guess. Not sure he has made much of an impression on me yet, maybe this week he will. 3 home games in 7 days.

Is Adkins living up to your expectations?

weren't you pretty confident last season as well? The guy needs time and unfortunately in modern day football times waits for no man. I wish he would think before he speaks and throw away his book of football cliches. -
Lefback seems to spot on with his posts - now with what he revealed about Lambert I am concerned

According to the Echo NA is none to happy with Schneiderlin's contribution on Saturday and blames him for not picking up his man when they scored their 3rd. I wouldn't be at all surprised to see him dropped because he is I think part of the problem at present. I wonder if he has become unsettled. Something is not right.

I think Dune and Dell Days should get married

Just don't think we can even afford to question him - he has to be given more time. After Tranmere I was really convinced we were on the way up but I have been a little underwhelmed by our performances since even though we have got results. He seems to be tinkering too much perhaps (sounds like that was the case yesterday) - perhaps NC is putting on the pressure and he is getting jumpy? I don't know but as others have said Dec/Jan will make or break our season. He needs to take a deep breath and stick to doing what he knows best which suceeded At S****horpe. Maybe dropping Lambert too? -
Just because someone voices an opinion that his after match comments are a bit of a jumbled mess doesn't mean that person wants him out. You are stirring the **** Whatever happens results wise we can't even think about replacing him until this season is over - he has got to be given time. Yesterday sounds like he made his first big mistake tactics wise - let's hope he learns from it.

Sorry NA's post match statement is gooblegook. He is actually informing very little. And what is this "in the building" reference all the time? He might be a good manager but he's no media communicator. Hope he talks to the players in a little more plain English.

Carlisle 3 - 2 Saints - post match reaction.

Let's be honest while we have been picking up results we have not played well recently. Everyone says that is a sign of a good team and it is....until you start losing. Something is not right up there and I'm damned if I can put my finger on it. -

What are you doing now apart from winding people up on a forum - I need to update my records. -

I'd stick with the Mail -
Is Surman injured because he hasn't featured in Norwich's first team for some while?

Saints 2 - 0 Shrewsbury - post match reaction

there is still a lot not right but I can't quite figure it out. If we are going to go up this season these sort of performances will have to be eradicated. We seemed to lack any guile. -
So will I - cant believe the fickleness of some on here. Last years cup run ended up with a thrilling 5th round derby, dont knock the Cup, Saints could surprise a few people on here.

Should imagine there is a lot of tough negotiating going on with Preston wondering "who is this man Cortese"?
-
Was me, first one deffo a fluke, second one hmm need to see a replay perhaps. The kid played well, but Chaplow was mom by a country mile. Thought we took our foot off the gas after going 4-0 up which was a bit anti climatical, GD could be crucial. Can't believe the form Brighton are showing. Fair play - should be a cracker at SMS.
-
Got it in one. I thought we won that without playing particularly well and both Chamberlain's goals were flukes. Chaplow by far our best player. Lambert had a stinker. Enjoyed the Tranmere game much more than this - tonight was OK but nothing more. Don't get carried away there is still lots of work to be done on this team.

They got all the booking mixed up as well
