Wanyama Transfer Rumours - Summer 2015 Edition
Yorkshire Saint replied to brett24's topic in The Saints
I genuinely think Romeu looks a good signing ... Pound for pound nothing between him and victor on first impressions. Classie, let's see but at the end of the day to have a few caps with Holland he must have something about him and I think 80% of us would have taken a Dutch international signing even 2 years ago. The club have said no one will go and I see another Morgan situation with Victor but at the end of the day if he is being a **** with sickness bugs etc let him go for maximum amount when we are ready albeit jamuary or next year and get another in. No one is bigger than the club .... We have money in the bank and worst case we go were to go down which I can't see then we are sound as a pound financially as per the sustainable model. Bottom line, victor can **** off if he does not like it....my worry is that the squad does not look together as one, interviews look demoralising.....the question is it a matter of forming relationships or are the deeper problems in the squad as a result of changes..... -
Terrible, first time I have had bad stream tbf - willow knows about it everyone's moaning on Facebook

Southampton v FC Midtjylland: Match Thread
Yorkshire Saint replied to Saint Scott's topic in The Saints
Hardly a vote of confidence for the two new right backs. Caulker can't play LCB that's for sure ..awful distribution. We look nervy -
A decent reply in this melee of childish abuse, thank you. I guess it comes down to the levels of risk and to be fair no one else has succeeded in high risk strategies, thinking Leeds, Tottenham, Pompey etc As ****ed as I am with another summer of disruption, as above, at least all this money flooding in to the club is lining our pockets....the club should be sustainable for future generations but it's all so sterile....with out an element of fun you can have all the money in the world!
-
On a positive note, at least we are getting all this cash in the bank from the top 4, not another team which puts us in a relatively stronger position moving forward on the basis of our long term and rather shrewd business model. But then I think, which would I prefer: - Season after season surviving in the premier league with a cup final every 25 years (although the great escapes were barmy) Or - some great nights in the lower leagues, Hartlepool away on a Tuesday night, Brighton away, the terraces again etc with the pain of relegation but the joy of promotion. I don't want is broke but I'd rather we showed a little risk other wise there is no fun.

I know it's a long shot, but I was shocked how bad we looked v Everton. Yoshida, Fonte, Davis and one or two other body language was not great...maybe this has something to do with it?
-
Yes, I am glad they are in the premier league and can't hate them. It's like little man syndrome for them and you just want to pat them on the head and say well done
-
Lovren let off the hook ...what a load of crap he is
-
Got to laugh, they are really giving lallana **** and lots of anti saints songs.... Calling us scummers lol Bless em
-
Fair point
-
Left side of defence again ...not good
-
We are too deep, with no link between midfield and attack. Yoshida and Target are weak link .... I'd go to 3 at the back with Juanmi on for Targett

http://www.worldstadiums.com/stadium_menu/past_future/future_stadiums.shtml Quite interesting, Feyenoord are going for it. Interesting to see Molineux on there too. No stadium expansion at St Mary's though
-
Good hit jay
-
Juanmi looks tidy enough. Espanyol are a dirty bunch although that hard tackle on jay will be good for him. Chasing a game like this might be good for us in terms of experience of breaking a foreign team down who are holding a lead.
-
I think we are getting close ...
-
Potential....any advances

What do you think, need help finishing two lines He stands at nearly 5ft 3 , classie classie He'll take us to the champions league, classie classie He wears the shirt of schneiderlin He gets the ball and ..... Jordie Classie Southampton .......
-
Saints and Feyenoord are in agreement, personal terms to be agreed and transfer finalised

The other thread about the best goal celebration got me thinking about the most gut wrenching. Obviously relegation was a killer etc but one that sticks out for me was Andy Ritchie for Oldham at the Dell after the ref (leister shapter ????) played stupid injury time and Oldham turned the game around in the quarter finals of the cup. Then there's Adrian Heaths .... Any one got any more including footage ?
-
What saints goal have you celebrated most?
