Anyone remember when Zoo magazine did their "league of justice" back then? For those who don't, they took all the controversial moments from the weeks premiership matches & adjusted the scores and according table on the basis of reversing incorrect refereeing decisions. At the end of that season, on this basis, we finished 4th bottom.

Southsea front is actually really nice in the summer. Shame it's overshadowed by the overcrowded and unfriendly sprawl that is the city of portsmouth. I lived down there for 3 years from 02-05 and I learned to hate the place very quickly. My take on the whole rivalry thing, it's ****ing fierce, and I never truly realised it until I lived among them & experienced the bitterness first hand from the other side of the fence. Nowadays I take a "pig until proven cop" attitude to poopey fans. I accept that among them are decent people and indeed I know a fair few, but if I see one of them in a pub here in London, or wherever, I'll avoid them like the plague & take the instant attitude that they're a wrong 'un. Rational but cautious, you might say. Still, having a chip on the shoulder about a dock strike that never actually happened (and they KNOW this, trust me) can only make them an evil breed really. For me this is personified even worse outside the city in god forsaken places like Chavant & Grotspot, and to some degree even parts of Fareham. This rivalry is deep seated & fierce. Anyone who thinks otherwise is deluded.

I was in block 249 for England v Belarus, awesome view! I, however, will be aiming for blocks 132-135 - as far back as possible - stood - and singing all game! Can't wait!

Was going to say the same, that was ridiculously rammed - in a good way, of course. Still, great thread imho. So proud to be not just reading threads about a packed SMS but also being there to experience it. COYR!!!

This thread is laughable! I live in a Millwall area and I can categorically tell you that their current crop of fans couldn't give a toss about either us or the blue few. I just texted one mate upon sight of this thread who responded to say "Don't flatter yourselves". pretty much what I expected. What we have here is a classic case of police propaganda. They don't want any of us in the pubs boozing prior to the game so they create a bit of spin and let the internet work it's magic. The football factory has alot to answer for. Go looking for trouble, you'll find it. Go looking to watch a game of football with your kids, they'll be safe.

Saintsweb Prediction Fun-What happens to Pompey in court?
Gudz replied to PaulSaint's topic in The Lounge
I faintly remember Swindon winning promotion from the 2nd to 1st tier at the end of a season, the being relegated 2 divisions to the third tier for....... financial irregularities! Was it not the case that due to the courts doing them for financial irregularities that the FA stepped in and acted accordingly? Please correct me if I've got this wrong, was only a teenager at the time, but if this was the case then surely a precedent is already in place? Thus poopey get relegted, then stepped a further 2 divisions down..... -
We had a London Saints team a few years back, some of the lads from that are pretty good. Also I'm sure Oxfordshire Saint would sign up for goaly duties. I, unfortunately, am a combination of injured, old & quite frankly nowhere near good enough, so I volunteer for watching!

No brainer. Beat the skates.

taking my 6 yr old niece to this. I hope it's a good 'un! -
A mate of mine up that way said that if Carlisle make the final it will be a ghost town that day, as would it be in surrounding tons like Penrith, Whitehaven, Workington etc. According to him most of Cumbria is buzzing this morning following last nights result, and even the "plastics" would decide to be Carlisle fans for the day. And like many of you, I'd rather it was them we faced, ASSUMING IT'S US THAT WINS THE RIGHT TO FACE THEM. I hate Leeds, I hope they bottle promotion as well.

This, basically. There will not be any problems drinking around London Bridge.
-
I cant PM you but I'd be interested in this. Please email gudzsfc@googlemail.com if it's still available & I'll arrange to meet you.
-
Which boozers that mate? My girlfriend lives round those ends & I'll be starting my day from there so if there's a friendly pub in-between then I'm all ears.
-
Come & join us for a few jars round at Tequila Joes! Hit me up on FB. Ironically I live only a 15-20 min walk from the Den but I will have to get there via London Bridge (the other way) I bet!

Awesome news, sooner the better in my book.

I'm similar to a couple of you guys and I would have to reccommend learning the cyrillic alphabet before tackling Russian. i'm at that stage now - I've got the alphabet & pronounciations down but it's the use of the b & bl accents that are confusing me. Perhaps I'll get it as I move on. To learn Russian I've entered into a skill swap with a Siberian I met at a gig lately. We're going to get together once a week and in exchange for one basic Russian lesson from him he's getting a guitar lesson from me as he wants to learn. Obviousy guitar lessons is an example, but if you have such availabilty then it's a good free way of doing it. The best way is of course to actually go there, if you have the availability & opportunity to do so. A few years back I went to Greece travelling around the islands. I went in clueless & came out being ble to read & write the alphabet & hold a basic conversation. A Greek friend tells me I'm virtually at GCSE level and that's with no lessons whatsoever. http://www.russianlessons.net is worth a look-in just to get to grips with the alphabet. I think it explains the rules rather well.

Why are hurricanes like women? When they arrive they're warm and wet & when they leave they take half your house.

This team is ticking now & Lambo is banging them in. i'm going to enjoy the rest of this season!
-
For me Jaidi was the shrewdest signing, but Lambert & connolly up front? League One beware! That is all.

If block one reopens, I'm buying a ST. If it doesn't, Im paying on the door and probably only going to most games instead of all. I know I'm not the only one with this view by a longshot.
-
I live a 25 min walk from the ground so I'm not overly disappointed that they stayed down, although I've a good few mates who were at Wembley this arvo that don't share my point of view! Lol. So nice to have an away game that I can walk to next season!

No. We are simply in disarray
