We judge him on how he performs until the end of season , his results win ratio and if he’s improving us. If he’s not much better then russ or nj we let go .. if on the other hand he manages to turn us round and gets 20-30 points until the end of the season it at least shows we have a decent option who is prem proven and can try and keep hold of him. the downside could be if he comes in fails to keep us up but does a cracking job and uses that to move elsewhere ..I think too much is being made of no manager wanting a relegation on their cv. This job is super low expectation and it shouldn’t be too hard to look good after Russel Martin no one is gonna lay the relegation at jurics door .. any future employers will do their homework as long as Juric improves us a fair bit he can walk away from this fine

I think the fact that there should be very little pressure here should help Juric immensely .at Roma he came in after a club legend in de Rossi had been sacked and wasn’t a big enough name to appease . So was never wanted a bit like nj here. but following from Russell Martin just not being a stubborn naive philosophy manager and setting up hard to beat will win fans over a lot .. seems like a good appointment for the timing

Heard his football described as shit housery 101 which will make a fantastic change from martins nice team to play for every other club philosophy.. he’s managed at higher level then a lot of the others we where linked with and had most of his clubs punching above their weight ., I think the Roma job was never gonna work out as they had just sacked club legend de Rossi and juric was never accepted .. all in all though I think this looks like it could be a shrewd move and better then expected .. happy with this

YI think in the past we have had better results when appointing more experienced managers then we have taking the young up and coming managers .. pochetino is probably one of the only ones who really worked out at the top level .. as far as the more experienced ones though koeman and hoddle where great Ralph was pretty experienced .. even hughes kept us up and redknapo might have if he got the gig earlier . fans tend to look at managers a bit like boxers once they have had one bad job the fans tend to not want them anymore . Ie adkins he was once the next upcoming manager with a good record in championship etc but a lot of fans wouldn’t want him now

I gotta disagree .. rohl seems very much in the style of our last two appointments .. just cos he’s doing a Decentidh job at Wednesday who have very little expectations anyway doesn’t really count for any more then Jones did at Luton.. as we saw with Jones and Martin they both where miles away from making the step up .. at least hjulmund has gotten Denmark to a semi final at a much higher level that alone is surely more impressive then what Rohl has achieved ?

I’d actually rather have Adkin’s back then many of the managers on the list .. he at least brings a real feel good factor

After the last two I’d be hesitant in getting another championship manager. Experience like moyes or allardyce should be what we are looking at .

Well apologies if that’ was your meaning .. it just read more as they where ambitious and we just made poor signings with the money … I was just trying to point out that the total spend itself isn’t really ambitious if your just spending it on lots of players whilst not competing with the other clubs in the league we have really stood still in terms of spending back in 2013 etc we was spending similar anmmounts to west Han . All the likes of Brighton Brentford Bournemouth have got promoted and now buy more ambitiously and this was happening before relegation was a excuse .If we are serious to compete with these clubs we need to be moving with the times and yes agree fewer signings at higher fees and wages is the way forward .. half the players we are spending the money on are not improving the team they are just stuck on the bench like bbd after 3 or 4 starts

Basically comes down to the same thing.. lack of ambition and trying to do everything on the cheap.. .why sign one decent striker when we can buy 3 cheap ones 😂.. even Ipswich outdid us for delap Whatever our total spend was pretty much equates to someone going shopping at Poundland and getting a bit carried away

It really winds me up that people are looking at this as ambition. go look at the record signings for each club.many of the teams we wanna be competing with are in the 40million range. we buy the cheapest players in the league ffs we are pretty much shopping in the same price range as we did 10 years ago .. just because we bought a shit load of items shopping at Audi does not make us big spenders People need to stop looking at total spent as ambition. We never push the boat out to sign a expensive player, if us and another club are in for a player it’s game over . Is that how you define ambition ?

Absolutely dogshit owners .. it’s nothing short of disgusting that they allow us to go into Xmas with5 points yet continue to sit on their hands . they get credited for spending money but let’s be honest they just buy in higher quantity ..we could sign 50 5million players .. it’s not gonna increase the quality though is it .. we are still buying the cheapest players in the league so who cares about the outlay really ? the multi club model just looks to leech off of us.. as long as their bunch of clubs increase in value as a group it’s probably job done for them .. don’t think they give much of a shit about us at all really

I’m all for moyes .. but wouldn’t big Sam be a fairly decent alternative ? I mean for A club with our current problems he’s kinda like the polar opposite of martins fannying around he’s used to getting more out of struggling sides I’m sure many would prefer the snobby hipster choices .. but he’s about as proven as you could get for getting more out of a struggling Side and takes a defense first approach

Nail on head mate .. you still see people with liebherr avatars yet people don’t seem to appreciate cortese who even talked Markus into the purchase . Doesn’t really make sense to me how you can love liebherr and not nc .. they came as a package and the majority of the success came with how nc went about carrying out the plan making effective decisions .. sports republic are spending money so it goes to show how having the right person making these key decisions , spending the money wisely and employing the right people makes a huge difference and cortese did this superbly

Many ceos don’t go from club to club though .. he was Markus trusted man . as for us getting better most of the team and structure was strong and in place from his time here , Mitchell was a still a scout plus koeman did a cracking job also we where also flying under poch but never really got to see how well he would have done we looked very much a top 6-8 side under him also

I’m not buying some wannabe in the know rumours on this .. cortese wasn’t exactly throwing money around anyway .. a big core of our success revolves around the likes of lambert lalllana fonte and schneiderlin who we had from league one … if Markus was still alive nc would probably still be running things.. I dunno why people keep acting like I it’s a one off that nc was spending Marcus money .. Ankerson spends dragons money but isn’t any where near as effective .. The wheels came off when Markus died . Katarina was only ever interested in cashing in on her asset so ousted cortese as fast as possible to regain power before selling to gao also it’s hard to say it was propaganda from cortese .. with his managerial choices nearly all of them where gold and we improved with every switch of manager .. back to back promotions, great managers .. great scout in Mitchell. We where flying under pochettino who wass superb choice which nc decided on whilst going to scout coutinho.. as far as I’m concerned he did a fantastic job and pretty much flawless in his time here .. it’s just a shame we didn’t get to see the end of the movie how anyone can say he wasn’t good for the club is beyond me .. he came in when we was dying and on the brink of extinction in league one and got us up to top ten in the premiership with one of our best periods since the keegan days

Agree in general but cortese was the absolute ideal man to run the club .. i find it very very harsh that he gets labelled as just someone going mad with liebherrs money .. I mean look how the current freaks are doing spending dragons money ? Since cortese got ousted I don’t think we ever really recovered, yes you can point to the Koeman seasons but strong foundations where already in place including scouts like Mitchell.. cortese was so thorough and hands on and demanded quality throughout the whole structure .
