I still feel gaston is a top talent have always liked him as a player, started very brightly under Adkins but once Adkins left he found himself as a big part player under pochetino. Basically poch fancied jay rod and lallana over gaston and its not easy to be a world beater when in and out of the side with sub appearances you can ask falcao. It's a shame he gets tarred with the same brush as Osvaldo I honestly believe if he got the same amount of starts as a Steven Davis or ward prouse he would cream them stats wise!

Agree with a lot of that regarding Elia, he does have flashes of the Ronaldo/Ronaldinho type dribbling ability thought he looked very good in the games against Newcastle Man Utd and Swansea. Biggest problems for me is like you say he does dwell on the ball a bit and slow the play down sometimes trying to be clever only to waste the opportunity, also think he needs to impose himself a bit more in the game as he tends to hug the wing a lot which can make him invisible at times. I'd like to see him stay

Agree with S-Clarke.The replacements we have been linked with look of a decent standard especially clasie who I think will be a upgrade from Morgan in a creative way.

Swansea offloading Michu for 4 million. Could be quite a bargain if he could produce the form of his first season in the pl.

Koeman did say in a Dutch interview that if Morgan leaves clasie would be on our list of replacements

Think around 13 million euros was the asking price. Doesn't seem to much to spend if we are definitely losing Morgan we bid close to that for kryzowiak also

His movement looks great judging by MLG's video of holland vs spain, very pacy looks to play on shoulder and finds space well. I must say though it might be hard for him to get a good run in the first team, i expect we will play with a front 3 of jrod pelle and mane theres also tadic to think about who was fantastic at the start of last season and whos form dipped mostly due to playing through injury and also shane long. Juanmi does add more depth to our frontline though and with the europa league schedule will be a usefull player

Don't think this guy looks that impressive from the YouTube clips. Looks more lightweight then djuricic without the flair.

Hard to tell from the match I watched as he wasn't get much in the way of service. But looks like his main strengths are pace power and running with ball. To me his mobility is very interesting though after having to endure pelle and lambert running at pace of a slug, this guy could definitely offer a differant dimension

watched a bit of okaka in full matches on you tube last night, on the bright side he's very very mobile unlike pelle, lightning quick and built like a tank I think he is such a physical beast he will cause some problems. Think of a cross between van gobbel Heskey and yaya toure playing as a striker as a comparison

Really hope we can tie up the transfer of clasie and not lose out on this one, i actually think he could end up as a upgrade to morgan . Clasie in my opinion is a much more creative defensive midfielder with a eye for clever through balls and long range passes that could add more creativity to a already solid team

Regarding toby, why cant we just renegotiate a higher price with athletico if we offered 12m it would save athletico having to give us the extra 2m ,which in effect would make it worth 14m. Since we have first dibs here we should be in the driving seat.depends how much we want him i guess?

The frustrating thing is you can tell Elia is a very talented player,his skills at times are amazing to watch, I also think he has got a half decent shot and cross on him unlike some of our players. Trouble is he is not imposing himself on games, too much showboating at the wrong times and doesn't seem on same wavelength as his team mates. To be honest though I don't think all the blame can be put at his door, our attack is just not clicking at moment in this formation with pell'e up front, our most dangerous players end up wide,none of the players getting forward in the middle like ward prouse or Davis want to take much responsibility in shooting or creating so it just ends up with a winger or full back knocking in a ball that the statue pell'e gets nowhere near. Our whole attacking strategy needs a major tweak.

Don't get me wrong I love Koeman as much as the next saints fan,but starting to think we were much better as an attacking force under pochetino. Our attacks are so slow and predictable,no cutting edge and basically just poor balls lumped in that pell'e is too slow to get anywhere near. As much as tadic seems to get a lot of stick around here he's by far our most creative player and will be missed.

Absolute fantastic game from mane today in my opinion,he was causing chelsea loads of problems with his skill and pace.tadic has some lovely skills too open up and creat chances for himself but doesnt seem to have the confidence to take the chances himself hes always looking for the pass even if his skill has completely opened up a chance for a shot. Cant say im really impressed with djuricic so far,he looks very lightweight and i think i prefer all of our other attacking midfielders and wingers over him so far. Anyone know how long elia is out ?

Hes had some rough luck at times as well though,like someone else posted he has probably hit the woodwork more then any player in the league.

Take it you mean over the season? Not up until now? My personal opinion is they would both probably finish between 15-20 which pelle is well on course for. I dont think dzeko would crush his total.hence why i think he wouldnt be worth the big wages.

How many goals do you think dzeko would have given us over pelle,? If starting every game for saints?

Im sorry i didnt realise we were talking about the football god that is edin dzeko. My point was for the absurd ammount of money someone like dzeko would want he would be absolutely not worth the wages. 1 he is a service striker who squanders a lot of chances although still getting goals, dont we already have one of those with pelle? 2 if we were going to pay out fat wages on a striker wouldnt it be better to go for someone a bit more dynamic like say remy,who would give us a differant option with his pace or could play together with pelle.. Serious question just humour me, how many goals a season more would you think dzeko would give us a season over pelle,if played as the loan striker all season as pell'e has been. I await the sarcastic responses :-)

Have never rated dzeko myself, always seems to squander far more chances then he puts away, but gets so many chances due to service he gets goals. I think he would be poor in a average side.

Tracking for years is not the best compliment since we were not in the premiership a few years ago :-D
