Really hope we can tie up the transfer of clasie and not lose out on this one, i actually think he could end up as a upgrade to morgan . Clasie in my opinion is a much more creative defensive midfielder with a eye for clever through balls and long range passes that could add more creativity to a already solid team

Regarding toby, why cant we just renegotiate a higher price with athletico if we offered 12m it would save athletico having to give us the extra 2m ,which in effect would make it worth 14m. Since we have first dibs here we should be in the driving seat.depends how much we want him i guess?

The frustrating thing is you can tell Elia is a very talented player,his skills at times are amazing to watch, I also think he has got a half decent shot and cross on him unlike some of our players. Trouble is he is not imposing himself on games, too much showboating at the wrong times and doesn't seem on same wavelength as his team mates. To be honest though I don't think all the blame can be put at his door, our attack is just not clicking at moment in this formation with pell'e up front, our most dangerous players end up wide,none of the players getting forward in the middle like ward prouse or Davis want to take much responsibility in shooting or creating so it just ends up with a winger or full back knocking in a ball that the statue pell'e gets nowhere near. Our whole attacking strategy needs a major tweak.

Don't get me wrong I love Koeman as much as the next saints fan,but starting to think we were much better as an attacking force under pochetino. Our attacks are so slow and predictable,no cutting edge and basically just poor balls lumped in that pell'e is too slow to get anywhere near. As much as tadic seems to get a lot of stick around here he's by far our most creative player and will be missed.

Absolute fantastic game from mane today in my opinion,he was causing chelsea loads of problems with his skill and pace.tadic has some lovely skills too open up and creat chances for himself but doesnt seem to have the confidence to take the chances himself hes always looking for the pass even if his skill has completely opened up a chance for a shot. Cant say im really impressed with djuricic so far,he looks very lightweight and i think i prefer all of our other attacking midfielders and wingers over him so far. Anyone know how long elia is out ?

Hes had some rough luck at times as well though,like someone else posted he has probably hit the woodwork more then any player in the league.

Take it you mean over the season? Not up until now? My personal opinion is they would both probably finish between 15-20 which pelle is well on course for. I dont think dzeko would crush his total.hence why i think he wouldnt be worth the big wages.

How many goals do you think dzeko would have given us over pelle,? If starting every game for saints?

Im sorry i didnt realise we were talking about the football god that is edin dzeko. My point was for the absurd ammount of money someone like dzeko would want he would be absolutely not worth the wages. 1 he is a service striker who squanders a lot of chances although still getting goals, dont we already have one of those with pelle? 2 if we were going to pay out fat wages on a striker wouldnt it be better to go for someone a bit more dynamic like say remy,who would give us a differant option with his pace or could play together with pelle.. Serious question just humour me, how many goals a season more would you think dzeko would give us a season over pelle,if played as the loan striker all season as pell'e has been. I await the sarcastic responses :-)

Have never rated dzeko myself, always seems to squander far more chances then he puts away, but gets so many chances due to service he gets goals. I think he would be poor in a average side.

Tracking for years is not the best compliment since we were not in the premiership a few years ago :-D

Wasnt impressed when we bought him and he hasnt really changed my mind on that, His best asset seems to be drawing free kicks from going down easy, his finishing has been tame so far like the one on one against qpr, so far he has been busy but not a lot else. I do think there is more to come from him,ive seen him have much better games then this with west brom but at the same time it was a steep fee for a player we didnt need, the money would have been better spent on a back up striker in case pelle gets injured. Oh and lastly id have been much happier to see what koeman coukd of got out of gaston ramirez.

To sum up today- spurs were first to every second ball seemed to always get the break of the ball in 50 50 tackles, and to be fair to them pressed us very well. We couldnt really cope with the pressing today and struggled for most of the game in my opinion. Bertrand and mane were probably our best players although no one really stood out in a poor team performance

Dumb move our options off the bench are so bad even mayuka is making the bench, gaston looked class on saturday and we started playing much better when he replaced long.what happens if tadic picks up a injury? This has tarnished the man'e deal for me unless hes exceptional we are hardly any better off.

I always though gaston had much better attributes then jay rod, better dribbler better shot more vision better at picking a pass, ill be pretty fumed if we let him go think hes quality waiting to happen

A lot of grief for townsend today based on one poor game? All the tottenham players looked outclassed today. Ok he messed up bad getting caught in possession but **** happens..id actually really like him here think hes a real livewire and looked a real star for england at times last season.

Could still do with getting another striker in my opinion not sure shane long could lead the line in koemans 433 if pelle picked up an injury, long still a strange buy in my opinion dont see how he really can fit in our system

Would love clasie, even though its our strongest position. I think we would be signing a potentially world class player,loved his little cameos in the world cup looked a massive step up from winajldrum sp,and was always looking for a killer pass. To be honest id rather the signings were more koeman buys anyway.cant see the point in spunking our money in the severely overpriced english market, would rather koeman brought in some of the top eridvisie players with his contacts

Totally agree, we didnt really have someone like that who could play class through balls that require skill and vision. Gaston i think is capable but he still hasnt got a decent run in the side with his fitness. But if Tadic keeps creating chances at that rate he will be a superb signing.

From the first look of tadic id say he looks like he will use the ball a lot better then lallana, he played some really clever passes especially the ones that played clyne in on goal. Lallanas biggest strength was he was just so comfortable on the ball and could just keep turning defenders for fun but his end product wasnt amazing.
