Yes he did and I think he was referring to it being done by spending Kat's money

I think the board are fed up being the bad boys as this plays out All his comments about players believing the champions league plan sounds like the players must have been promised big benefits to achieve the plan and this was taken away by the new regime. I think he said this so that it shifts the bad boy image to players wanting out and the tantrums that they have probably had to deal with privately. I bet Ralph will not be surprised by this reaction

Not bad if it works....but it is a big gamble and which clubs have been successful by doing this

KL banks 100m Spends 40m on replacements Gambles that koeman can keep us up to continue to bank TV money Slow and steady investment over next few years Always for sale at right price....club that is

It is always unsettling during these periods of change. There clearly has been some shift in policy or vision which has unsettled the squad. The worst thing for us is it feels like sitting on the outside and seeing it play out with good players leaving and not yet seeing the new squad formed so we are in the worst situation. The board clearly will not want us to lose our prem place and what goes with it so they will have a plan. Koeman is clearly a key part of it and the fact that he is used to developing young players is going to be a corner stone of this plan. As supporters there is not much we can do.. We are just going to have to keep our nerve and let this play out. I personally don't give a sh.t what other fans and clubs think.

I would be interested to know what level we are really in for now. I am delighted with the two we have already signed and this kind of sets some expectations but am wondering if that will be it for the big signings. It feels like deals are increasingly more difficult to close. We know we have squad gaps that need strengthening and as somebody on here said there have been very few surprises with incoming players so wonder why it's so quiet and lacking any real strong rumours. It feels like that we are willing to wait until exactly the right deal can be done and if not oh well we will go with what we have. Maybe it's just Ronald taking stock after the two friendlies to firm up his targets

Tadic and Pelle for Lallana and we have still to spend Luke and Rickie fees yet....I think we will lose Lovren too much has been said by him, but keeping Morgan and adding probably 4 more well who knows. Would love to go to Anfield and spoil their start to the season
-
Should ask Lovren if he wants to cough up the other 5m to get to the 25m to sell. Let's see how keen he is.....

Would be amazed if we could do anything as well as last year with all the changes made. Optimistic that Koeman will get a grip and optimistic that new players will be quality. I've been really upset at the way that Poch seems to have built something which is unsustainable and around him not the club. So different from somebody like Martinez. Look at the loyalty of Baines and his love of the club. I've been worried about losing others but now of the mindset he'll let them go. Let's enjoy the challenge. Hoping we get people in early enough to avoid us doing a Norwich.

I know what you are saying and having unhappy players is not good. Don't be fooled though we create the situations we have to deal with and the board are dealing with something they have created and the course of action they have decided upon. They are NOT the victims of circumstance

Yes that's him they refer to him as the new messi

I have a friend who is Dundee utd fan and he raves about this lad and also a young midfielder. He reckons that all the top sides have been there to scout the pair of them. Good investment I think

Suarez horrible little man

I thought the players cared more than I had seen for a long time but Hodgson is just a ****e old duffer. How could he not get well beck henderson off earlier. Gerard and henderson both playing defensively and badly have they not watched us and learned that in that role they must press and move forward to join attack aaaaaaaaaaaaagh

It's not that he is not communicating it's that he never answers the questions he is asked. I would rather he said nothing and let actions speak louder than words. There clearly are issues around the way that the club is going to be run that we are not going to like and so he is giving very general answers. You just don't say we are in control and then not predict the outcomes. I want to believe the best, but as I say actions speak louder than words and what I have seen is...Poch has gone srl gone all Lallana and shaw going and more strong rumours about Loren, Fonte etc...just doesn't feel right to me
-
Think I know how Bristol rovers fans felt now
-
He tells us that things in the club are only happening on our terms. So they either have control over these events or they do not. I can't help feeling that the Poch had started to be a problem for them and trying to have more power than they wanted. Hence he had to go. They also clearly are backing the judgement of Les R rightly or wrongly so until this shifts we are in for a bumpy ride. The players will go where they want and long contracts Ralph just mean you can negotiate fees better. Money will be spent on players coming in but implies we have seen the last of the the approach we have been seeing. What ever manager we get will be compliant to orders they give so I think we should not expect a strong personality and likely to be somebody who is learning the trade or on the up.

Not sure who I would like. Still feel a bit numb with it all. Those knocking Moyes needs to take a long hard look at themselves. He was offered one of the biggest jobs in the football world. Didn't have a good time but I believe anyone following ferguson would have had the same to deal with. Yes he made mistakes but who hasn't. Remember when Strachan came he was on the back of a rough time. I quite like the manager with something to prove.

Supporting saints is like a game of snakes and ladders.
-
For me it's not the fact that he is going....that's life as a saints fan it's more what it means in terms of our ambition and the end of the beginning.... What's next
-
Nobody hates Gazza. He just isn't a goalkeeper
-
VW over Cork for me he holds a very good position for a defensive midfielder protecting the defence. Can't fault cork for effort but plays a different role and I think playing the shape we do we need big VW
-
I think we need to start being solid again and wanted to see Wanyama back. I am presuming its because of travel and late arrival back.. Oh we'll let's see...
-
Young side struggling a bit at the moment. Good periods followed by periods where we fade and get caught and punished. Liverpool have become good team fair play to them. They have moved on from us and a good example for us to follow.
-
Winning is a habit and so is losing, that's why last week was so important.. We have lost momentum. For all the possession football we lack composure in the final third and don't seem to have any idea on movement off the ball or he quality that we show elsewhere on the pitch. We really do need VW back into position instead of cork we will not get caught by the sucker punch like we have been recently. Team too nice...boys will toughen up
