Think I know how Bristol rovers fans felt now
-
He tells us that things in the club are only happening on our terms. So they either have control over these events or they do not. I can't help feeling that the Poch had started to be a problem for them and trying to have more power than they wanted. Hence he had to go. They also clearly are backing the judgement of Les R rightly or wrongly so until this shifts we are in for a bumpy ride. The players will go where they want and long contracts Ralph just mean you can negotiate fees better. Money will be spent on players coming in but implies we have seen the last of the the approach we have been seeing. What ever manager we get will be compliant to orders they give so I think we should not expect a strong personality and likely to be somebody who is learning the trade or on the up.

Not sure who I would like. Still feel a bit numb with it all. Those knocking Moyes needs to take a long hard look at themselves. He was offered one of the biggest jobs in the football world. Didn't have a good time but I believe anyone following ferguson would have had the same to deal with. Yes he made mistakes but who hasn't. Remember when Strachan came he was on the back of a rough time. I quite like the manager with something to prove.

Supporting saints is like a game of snakes and ladders.

For me it's not the fact that he is going....that's life as a saints fan it's more what it means in terms of our ambition and the end of the beginning.... What's next

Nobody hates Gazza. He just isn't a goalkeeper
-
VW over Cork for me he holds a very good position for a defensive midfielder protecting the defence. Can't fault cork for effort but plays a different role and I think playing the shape we do we need big VW
-
I think we need to start being solid again and wanted to see Wanyama back. I am presuming its because of travel and late arrival back.. Oh we'll let's see...
-
Young side struggling a bit at the moment. Good periods followed by periods where we fade and get caught and punished. Liverpool have become good team fair play to them. They have moved on from us and a good example for us to follow.
-
Winning is a habit and so is losing, that's why last week was so important.. We have lost momentum. For all the possession football we lack composure in the final third and don't seem to have any idea on movement off the ball or he quality that we show elsewhere on the pitch. We really do need VW back into position instead of cork we will not get caught by the sucker punch like we have been recently. Team too nice...boys will toughen up

No they have the rights to show all games in this region but have been stopped by prem league because they had not scrambled signal to other regions. This has now been fixed but not showing all games again yet
-
I am in doha and been speaking to them regularly as they have been blocking everybody from all but 1 live 3pm Saturday kick off for months now, even if purchased legitimately. They now have new encrypted boxes that we have had to purchase specifically for them, but they still have not yet reinstated the service. Ironically one of the stream sites given to watch stoke game was Bein sports network broadcast so some people seem to be able still to get through.

The club is no longer run FOR the fans...............
saint michael replied to Fitzhugh Fella's topic in The Saints
Duncan, I think you are describing 21st century football in general. The names of the clubs may be the same. The older fans go along believing they still support their club. But everything else has changed. Change is inevitable and we can't go back... Even if you start again you will soon get caught up in the commercial machine. I think we have to accept this and make of the new way what we can. I was really sad about the game Saturday as it makes what I just said more stark. I have always loved the cup and first went along to my first tie in 67.. Must be sad for a historian like you but hard not to draw a line under it all -
Saddened as you don't get too many opportunities like we have had this year in the cup Feel sorry for the 850 fans travelling up there and what they have to do to get the cash to get to away games and in weather like that for a mid day KO. We clearly have fringe players who do not have a future with us and so not sure why we would bother to give them a game like this one. Unless it falls in our laps cannot see us winning anything agin with this attitude winning breeds winning. Never take your foot of the gas and when you have teams by the throat throttle all hope from them

why league season isn't ordinary - Man U's rivals?
saint michael replied to NickG's topic in The Saints
Don't you think we owe them one. I would love us to beat them on the last day of the season and stop them getting into Europe. Revenge best served cold..... -
We are not playing to his strengths. He is rarely on the end of the chances being created. He works hard making space for others and feeding knock ons. If you think that he doesn't care then that's incredible. I would love to see how you perform every single day....I bet you always put in top class performances

Gaston broken ankle reckon dirty bas.... Brown
-
They are playing long ball and pressing second ball high up. We always struggle like this. Chelsea did this at there place second half. We have stopped passing it around
-
Spoke to them again this week and they haven't a clue when they will get this resolved. Still money spent on new brand well spent.....

In Qatar used to get all Abu Dhabi sports live now sadly Alj and Bein coverage has managed to cock it up so starting to miss saints Saturday 3pm kos
-
agreed contacted Al Jazeera and had a rant here in Doha on the evening of the villa game, all they would say is that they expect to have it resolved in next few weeks, tried to get them to give me password on .com tv as they seemed to be carrying it still on there but without joy
-
been in dressing room when he was captain of a team and believe me he knows his stuff and inspirational on team around him. All teams struggle with injuries even big squads and especially key positions like keeper. Don't judge gazza harshly or poch trend is good and setbacks will happen on our journey upwards
-
One simple mistake by the youngster Chambers who had a torrid time with Redmond today cost us. Cant blame him he will get better. We seem to overplay when we are attacking and need to get that sorted possession with purpose is the key. Worrying thing for me is that we seem to have a lot of players who all look the same and not sure of their positional play. Having Rickie deeper doesn't make sense to me thought we lost something there. Not sure if they should play together. Also thought we missed the pace and running of Rod off Lambert
