  1. So is it or isn't it? I was thinking I could fit in a couple of extra days skiing. Haven't booked the ferry yet but it would be nice to know for sure.
  2. http://cdn.caughtoffside.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/08/Carneiro1.jpg A more appropriate photograph.. :-)
  3. 'Maybe he did'.. and you dismiss it like that as if it weren't important? They haven't been playing for him, that much is evident and he even said as much after the Leicester game "They've betrayed me"... So how is a wholesale change going to happen, (and when, of course..) and the only new people to be attracted would purely be there for the money and why would he be more succesful with them? Nah, pity he's gone as it was getting quite amusing, but for their own sake the club had to do it.
  4. Ta Trousers, thank you for pandering to my laziness.
  5. He played for their under 21s against ours the other day. I believe Targett had him under control throughout the match - there may be footage somewhere.
  6. It isn't actually a bad crowd for that level, but the drivel that Factless Allen comes out with...
  7. Hiow can you have a gentleman's agreement with Portsmouth? They don't even pay their contractual obligations or taxes.
  8. You mean saving for a rainy day? Which might result in their pitch needing re-laying again?
  9. At the moment! _Not_ playing Gallagher doesn't seem to be working. Perhaps the loan spell will be extended to L1 with MK!;-)
  10. He seems to have something about him when I've seen him playing U21 (via Youtube), but he still seems not physically fully grown! Maybe some loan periods next season, and although I share your doubt about top success I'd agree with your point that 21 is too early to write off people too soon.
  11. Aguero too, obviousl;y being rested for the important match on Saturday..
  12. It was a peculiar atmosphere from the beginning, I must admit. I'm in block 9 of the Itchen and a few times I joined in with the Northam to find I was about the only one singing, and given I'm middle-aged and wasn't in the choir at school feel a bit self-conscious on my own (plus only 1 pre-match pint..). It's not just the old who are quiet either, there's a dad and lad season ticket holders next to me who never make a sound. Either way, I'm hoping for much better against Liverpool given that we'll have the floodlights and a degree of anonymity to get over our English reticence..
  13. Erwin, written without seeing your post!
  14. Interesting question... I haven't been on here too much lately, but I got the impression that alpine hadn't either. Before I checked on here today I had a bet with myself, and won. ;-)
  15. 'Twas a joke, do keep up! You need to do your homework on _this_ thread!:-)
  16. Haven't checked The Echo articles, but they do have previous form, and perhaps this is the first Pluto thread which is somewhat justified?
  17. How many words, to save me the pain of reading it?
  18. .. and if they lose?
  19. ..yep, and sub him if he gets booked..
  20. What a fascinating thread. The only conclusion I can come to is that a lot of people don't know what they are talking about and certain people have brought their own inimitable style to the arguments. Oh yes, and hypochondriac seems to be obsessed with the subject, so maybe his medicines have reacted badly. All in all I think it must be an aggressive male thing. In women's football we're far more accepting, and the straights don't get any grief at all.;-) I've certainly been subjected to low level homophobic abuse which I have ignored, life is too short. Anyway, I've got to go and pack as I've finished me cuppa and I'm flying off to be guest at a lesbian wedding tomorrow: some things have certainly got better.
  21. There's a good photo of him in a Holland shirt on our OS: controlling a ball but already looking up to see his potential options. Good players play with their head up and with awareness and he seems to do that, getting used to our league and its physicality after an injury is a different matter which will need more than 3 games to overcome.
  22. Yes, I saw the horses, and a guy whose shoe had been destroyed by a hoof and was laughing about it, but it all seemed a bit handbags. One police rider saying someone was involved, and the guy saying he wasn't.. Usual confusing stuff and I had a train to catch, but I didn't feel at risk or worried.
  23. Ah yes, watched the game and I noticed him when he came on as sub. Blistering pace, but he seemed to have a bit about him, and some good passing too. I made a mental note to keep an eye open for him. I believe he's sixteen turning 17 soon.
  24. Plus it's on a Sunday which must impact people in different ways. For those who are vital members of their Sunday side they may have to miss it. I'm nowhere near vital and we've got a big enough squad so I'll be at St. Marys..
