Well done that man! Just got in to see us take the ball out of our net and then equalise.

The pitch looks a lot better than the public rec pitches I play on, assuming it's the one in the piccy on this thread. The turf looks pretty lush and thick actually.

Looks like we're going to have to rely on Andy Durman and Alpine!

THE MARCH: Saints launch monthly documentary series

.. and the right sex! Mind you, Southampton Ladies were a top team in their day. I'd like to see that again... -
Rallyboy.. either you, or I, or both of us have obscene imaginations. I'd rather you hadn't said that...

We still need cover for the extra Europa cup games (loads of them obviously ;-) ) and for at least the early English cup rounds, and young defenders often take longer to mature so U21s may not be ready. This seems to be a very sensible purchase. Who'se the current reserve RB - Bevis Mugabe? Some promise but not really ready.(If he's LB the same principle applies..)

Don't expect a receipt and you may have to pay direct to a Swiss bank account.

Presumably they have cash flow problems? How surprising. I can't help thinking that a tenner would be a better price-point on so many levels and could well yield even more income. How much for kids?

I bet you write Merro as well.. ;-)

I saw the thread title and the OP and thought, "well, this is bound to be a positive, constructive post".. Then I read the quote below and burst out laughing.

Presser. Someone who presses. As in "Can I press you for an answer"..

This is the stuff from PA, as published in The Guardian: http://www.theguardian.com/football/2015/jul/05/southampton-toby-alderweireld-atletico-madrid

That's how to take a penalty! :-) That game meant something to the players; I can't remember the last time you could say that about the men.

I don't think Saints are in the FA Vase? Joking aside, it's good to see our occasional Portsmouth contributors doing their bit to raise the laugh quotient on this thread - a very succesful intervention, I must say although that may be the product also of half a Piemonte white and half a bottle each of a Tuscan white then red.
-
You certainly wouldn't want that!;-)

That's a useful link The Cat. Brondby game still on - up to 8 when I just looked against S. Marino customs' team. Broughton - isn't that effectively the Airbus works team - 1-0 up against Lokomotive Zagreb, but Bala losing. A trip to St. Johnstone also looks unlikelier! Fascinating to see who we might get and then trying to work out where they are!...

"lactation" - what a strange auto-correct! Maidenhead United's (one of the oldest clubs in the country) favourite chant used to be "We hate Slough Town" to the tune of Land of Hope and Glory. I'm sure they could update that somehow.

Haven't lived in Southampton since 76/77 and that was as a student/graduate trainee but I visit a fair bit.. :-) All this is so true. I recall one of my football friends telling me about eating/drinking in one of the venues down by the water (possibly down near Harbour Lights) and being looked at like an alien when he asked why they didn't have windows at the end overlooking the water. It's most odd how little the water is exploited. You have to retain continuous public access to the water as far as possible. You'll get people strolling along, stopping for a drink here, an icecream there etc. It would lift the whole area. A free shuttle bus from the central station via town would also be a good idea at peak times. I'm still looking forward to water taxis to St. Marys on match days - perhaps when it's expanded to 40K. ;-)

Food rating or hygiene rating?

I thought you had business interests there! 0-)

DP - whatever happened to our Bangkok sourced PNJT t-shirts? I have to say I was intrigued by the thread and even opened the OP's post! :-) I always ignore the ones he posts immediately after me in other threads, but obviously I can't do that in this one. Personally I shall wear some Union flag dungarees (my first pair of dungarees since I was 6) with a rainbow scarf. Not sure about the top - I may wear the latest Saints shirt, although not sure what size I take. Footwear will obviously be moulded studs for the firm early season conditions, although if there's a big enough whip-round I'll bring the whip and high heeled-boots. PS: guys, don't want to be negative, but given the number of typos in the post do you think Turkish had a few too many G&Ts before dinner?

Man hits moose but can't remember doing it

If he starts talking sense perhaps it was.. -
Cracking response Eric. The lack of realism amongst EPL players (and their hangers-on) is staggering, up there with merchant bankers.

Accrington Stanley?

So I suppose our equivalent this season is to stuff Liverpool?
