Police horses?! Have we ever seen them at st. Marys with crowds twice the size, or is just that The9 is a ringleader of the very dangerous Newport firm?
-
One-handed, I imagine.. The other hand will be holding a pint of beer...

Against Newport too! The9 will be rather pleased... -

That was a long second half.. -
As I was there I'd say the 31k at The Dell may have been a slight underestimate... The Mick Channon testimonial on the Monday after the cup final was meant to be a smaller crowd, but I beg to differ! Apart from not seeing much there were no problems.

Old blokes football - Tuesday night @ Fleming Park, Eastleigh
suewhistle replied to saintbletch's topic in General Sports
Gave last night a miss as I pulled a muscle in my back keeping a clean sheet on Sunday, and managed to destroy my right boot through toe-poke goal kicking and had to put on my mouldies.. Just splashed out on new soft ground boots, and as they were only £21 in a sale I reckon on popping out for a lunchtime pint or two up to my boot budget limit. Four pints in a 'spoons then.. If I come through next Sunday unscathed I'll PM you. -
drat. I've just been looking for a youtube stream as I wanted to have a look at him, but none available anyway.

Sod me, is this the only thread left open to comment on? I haven't read any of the other comments, but I've just come in from the pub via the cheap beer at the sailing club to say that is the the worst performance I've seen this season. Where to start? Did anyone have a half-decent game, let alone as a team?No wonder RK looked non-plussed.. No desire, no speed of thought, appalling passing, never kept possession, keeper indecisive, not a single 50/50 decision went our way. Buttocks!

Tonight, of course, I'll be finding the nearest pub in walking distance with BT Sport to watch Saints.. Hope you get a quorum. -

BTT? As long as Hypo or Turkish aren't there, which might make my normal reticent politeness to disappear (the ****s). . Be in touch.. s'late. -
Hah! You never read Junk Mail... an earlier and, I think, the first Saints fanzine..
-
No. But I do kick balls.

F***. So do I tell my manager early I'm not available (not that I ever start, but it is a team/squad game), do I waste my season ticket or do I sell the match to someone? Hmm, lets wait for the next few results: Saints and my team's, and how many players we've got...

Rallyboy, we'll get some Portsmyth fans along; would that help? -

heh, heh, I'm in a good mood (still laughing at Turkish) so I won't wave the red card.. besides I've realised how slow I am and probably wouldn't manage a scythe... maybe a solid body check? What sort of footwear do they require, white soled etc.? Maybe something between 5-a-side and walking football is needed, it was slightly worrying to get an 'Independent Living' catalogue (comodes, heatpads, wheelchairs) through the post the other day... -
Ramirez with two short range goals tonight.

Bletch, Bletch, I'm so disappointed with you. Never mind the old blokes, what about the old biddies? Have to say that I qualify on the veterans aspect - indeed based on your age range would raise the average and balance out Ant. Obviously if it's all FA based they wouldn't like it but Tuesdays wouldn't clash with Thursday night training.:-) -
I wonder how that would look in A3?
-
Yep, you did, MLG did, The9 did, and even I know it happens although forget who is involved, and when, and who is impacted. So as I don't keep tabs on all the participants the particular instances do come as a slight surprise when they actually occur. I'm sure there are many more who are even less aware of how it all works, and really don't want to be ar*ed to know all the ins and outs. The bottom line is, it's bloomin' inconvenient. Last year I only saw the final match of the season because we had plenty of players and our manager put me on in the first half (normally I'm sub) and I dashed off at half time. The short notice changes are even worse.

My girlfriend needs me. otherwise I'd contribute.. lol

He certainly looks very awkward at the moment, like you get with growing teenagers. -

Yes, I was impressed too. A couple of under hit passes and failing to get past his man to start with but he soon adjusted and looked very comfortable. Not afraid to make himself available - he certainly didn't hide - and good control. It depends on both his physical and football development, but certainly a player to keep an eye on. -
A 15 year old has come on as full back for the saints tonight in the under-21s after an early injury. Making the team look even more fresh-faced (apart from Martina and Juanmi)...
