Early board meltdown time?

Drat, thought I'd edited the orientation before uploading...

A Tale of Two Cities eh? Well, one of them isn't doing too well...

Job centres attempts to encourage folk to go back to work fails
suewhistle replied to Viking Warrior's topic in The Lounge
You haven't said whether they did have an appropriate skill set or whether you thought they could do the job. I've gone for jobs I didn't think I'd get (and didn't), but there are limits to the amount of time both job-seeker and employer want to waste on pointless job applications. Sorry Sour Mash, there are other reasons, and tarring all the unemployed with that same big brush of yours is a nasty thing to do. -
I must get round to posting my picture of the missing seat at FP, which collapsed under the (not very heavy) weight of our goal-keeper at the last women's international. I suppose I'll have to get a hosting account - ho hum.. So dodgy loos, leaky roof, collapsing seats, not to mention rubbish football. What's on the positive side of the equation?

Cynicism and poor excuses for wit coming to a thread near you? I wonder who? Oh, what a surprise...

Sorry to disappoint, but I'm the only one who ever bothers with a shower: the rest jump into Mum's car and off they go! I am not 17, so although fiit (in the sporty sense..) I suspect you aren't missing much!:-)

You sign Whittingham, we sign Pochettino....

Christ! I'm not particularly bothered about about this issue, and maybe it's the bottle of Valpolicella Ripasso that has moved me to write, but do you _ever_ write a post that isn't a miserable, cynical, critical pile of cr*p? You really are a four letter word, and I'll leave others to choose their favourite for you. -
How can you object to a ground with a stand named after Marston's Pedigree??

And in another Sunday game, mine (average age, excluding me, about 17.5) won 4-1! My goalkicks didn't go very far though!

Anyone else not exactly thrilled by Lovren?

True, but sometimes they're being serious. Either way I tend to think they're being w******. -
I think we can safely say Gaston will feature on Saturday.

I haven't voted but would hope to see him succeed but am afraid he won't, very much like Revolution Saint. We don't see him in training like MP does every day, so I'll defer to the manager's decision. It'll be a trememdous shame for all concerned if he doesn't get through this, but I certainly haven't written him off yet like some. If he does get on can I just ask that if he takes any free kicks that they get over the first man: that is most frustrating from a player of his quality, and is one area where he could learn from JWP. -
I dreamt last night that he scored a goal, low into the left hand corner.. I suppose it might have been Wanyama, it wasn't very high definition.

Didn't seem to be much advantage being _under_ the stand!

As I was saying... Thanks Alpine, for giving such an early bit of evidence as to what you think of people with different opinions to yourself. You're never content to disagree... you have to "deride". You're not alone, unfortunately. I have no problems with people with different opinions, but I never disparage people with such opinions, but I do object to the way people express them and denigrate others at the same time. Mind you, you aren't unique * * *** and ******* are incapable of expressing their opinions without a sneer or heavy sarcasm. It really is most juvenile and extremely wearing. -

Hah! I was talking about your vocabulary. "Deride" - a really unnecessary attitude in terms of a board like this and different opinions therein. Besides, we all know your opinion of the player and your juvenile nickname for him. The whole point is that I don't whinge and your normal criticism of the optimists like me is 'happy-clappy' and other such c**p. I may be older than you but I bet I'm a lot fitter. -

I don't think many on here ever thought there was any doubt as to which verb you'd choose, nor which emotion. -
Will they take the full allocation this time? Perhaps someone should suggest it: ages since I've watched a match in The Smoke.

It's the processional march tune from Aida, but sung at a faster pace: here 20 seconds in.

PS: Thanks Hatch! Just had to go to the loo to avoid wetting myself. Talking of which: do you have to hold your cheeks out of the way when you go for a ****?

how does it feel knowing that both Portsmouth and Southampton fans unite in thinking you are a ****?

Ticket Sales - Still not a sell out this year yet.

It's on the box a lot more now we're in the Prem. Wander down to a local pub and save £35 + £5+ transport/programme/whatever. Plus people haven't mentioned that inflation is high (10% fuel bills?), wage increases low or non-existant, and if not unemployed for many it is at best part time/zero hours contracts. -
Wasn't that a bit distorted by the 6 we let in at Arsenal? Either way, even from the first game 3-2 defeat at Citeh you could see we could play some decent football and had some good players. They haven't shown any sign of that.

Happened on Sunday to my team; we lasted 3 minutes in a grey out and couldn't see a thing. That was on public pitches in a local park though, not the pitch of a professional team who not so long ago were in the top division.
