  1. Most of that tune, the first part anyway, is from a well known folk tune sometimes known as 'Willikins and his dinah" which has been used for dozens (or more) different sets of words because it's so adaptable (and in many societies well known). Sing the first few bars to anybody who knows even a little traditional music and they'll know the rest. Let me know the words and I'll sing it!
  2. Bit difficult for me... I will be dossing on somebody's sofa - it's just that they don't know it yet...
  3. I think Robsk was TT p**s, to be honest. Not too bad, in the circumstances. The overseas/Yorkshire/London/Scottish diaspora will be there for the Millwall game, so don't worry. The big question is, given the early KO: do I have my classic anaesthetic pint before the game (and where?) or just a complete debauch afterwards. Something like Junction/South-Western/Dolphin/Bent Brief/Guidedog/HL/Waterloo/ and then, who knows?
  4. Problem is the world-wide spread of us Saints fans. Still, I'll be at the Millwall and Brentford games, at least. I was also idly looking at the Flybe schedules for Geneva-Southampton yesterday, but I could only justify it for next March if we are near the top and I get plenty of work this next academic year...
  5. Apperitivo time!!
  6. 3 Rasiak
  7. "superb link up between R and Lallana" ..well, well..
  8. "As the tackles start to slide in from both sides" - so it looks like a decent workout!
  9. from the "industrious Lallana" no less....
  10. Heh, heh, and they say we're *****y!:-)
  11. That, my dear, was a red wine typo!
  12. Ego te absolvo, so don't worry about going to the cricket, I understand the beer tent is open longer.... The 'cop a feel' was only my thighs (I'm also a skier...) so don't get excited.. just because i'm not in a burqa.. Merda.. 2.30 in the morning..
  13. Us overseas mebbers will visit when we can, discount or no discount... and if you think teaching english abroad makes me rich.... think again..
  14. Chateau Musar 1978.. mmm .... many years ago I used to earn decent money, now I teach English...
  15. a quick "marine bird that puts out its' wings to dry"
  16. CL, I'm a footie fan living in Italy. I could support Torino or Juve, but really, after Saints it wouldn't seem right.. Marbella would just be a quick ****, now let's be honest..
  17. Is that the Dubai Expats league?
  18. Er, quoi? Please explain... :-)
  19. Why, may I ask? It can't be our lack of skill, seeing the crap I'v seen for Saints, let alone friends' pub teams...
  20. Mmm, fave's! Isn't Zubrowka the Bison grass one.. nice.. Those are good sale prices, leave them to rest in the dark for a week ir two. I am atm drinking a moscato di Chambave after various wines earlier... terrible these summer thunderstorms for keeping one in bars. Had a very good glass of red wine in a local bar (Didier Gerbelle Petit Rouge 2007) so now know the same one in my cellar is ready to drink. So is the Pedigree, Adnams and Fullers in my cellar which i use to impress the locals:-)
  21. Back to football though.. how long is Pulis' contract, and is it really worth him (or us) being further associated, even given contracts..?
  22. Don't worry DP, buy me a pint of Pedigree or similar at the Millwall game (Brentford too!) and I'll let you cop a feel... Yeah, it's hard out there in the gulf, at least you aren't working in the Magic Kingdom ..
  23. OK... perhaps I should add.. think of me as Tony Pulis, but with a little less testosterone but more anticipation and a better footballing brain, and probably a lot more desire to play. (The last being an absolute prerequisite for women footie players..)
  24. You've never seen me play!
