  1. Perhaps we could have the concourses looking something like this, gravity dispensed and cooled by water jackets and when it runs out it runs out. http://www.cask-ale.co.uk/glastonwick115.jpg As someone pointd out on another thread many local breweries are set up to do festivals with this sort of gear. Different brewery at different games, or alternate between the different concourses. Maybe have the quaffing bitter, not the strong stuff e.g. GFB and not Summer Lightening (much as I like it). I might actually get to the ground early for a pint, because even when I was living in the UK and had a season ticket I never, ever, drank at the ground.
  2. I thought we had a professional set up with fitness coaches, fat ratio assessment, bleep tests etc. so why are they so unfit? PS Thanks Pilchards
  3. Yep, I know it's only a friendly and they don't want to injure each other, but a bit of bite and snap in the tackle would help.
  4. I read The Guardian, and they do have a legitimate question - where _did_ the money go? If they had suggested waste and incompetence would Lowe have challenged it?
  5. .. and more than P****y get in the Premiership.....
  6. Art has a point, although it should be pointed out the crowd was still double what Bristol had for the same opposition.
  7. We have that with my Italian womens side! Grief if you don't let the manager know you can't make training or will be late. Match days always in team gear, etc etc. Still, good to hear..
  8. Hear, hear!
  9. Thanks for that. No foreign restrictions on friendlies, thank goodness!
  10. It's difficult to comment as I don't watch UK football apart from when I'm over to see Saints, but I think we'll be able to attract better players than your average L1 team. The manager, the facilities, the potential all help us, and if the crowd for today's friendly is as good as they say it is, that's another point to make to prospective players.
  11. Ta. Now all we've got to do is get Navyred back for his reports..
  12. The one thing I can see Euell giving us is a bit of strength and robustness we might need in div 1. as mentioned, with a bit of motivation and fitness I think he could do a stabilising job for us, but he certainly isn't one for the future.
  13. Bloomin 'eck!, for a friendly everybody knows we'll lose! I know lots of free tickets etc., but even so, !hope the whole day helps loosen the purse strings as he realises he's bought a bargain.
  14. Yep. All's well with the world. Back to my Verdicchio.
  15. No. I've got lots of rechargeables..
  16. There are far worse things than radios for running out of batteries...
  17. It'll be interesting the crowd for the Ajax game as they've already sold 21k and are expecting more on the day (and set up to sell them quickly too!). That rather puts the Bristol crowd (
  18. Great lyrics, and great tune. I'm a para-musician (like the relationship of paramedics to medics!) but getting the Northam to get that rythym is going to be difficult.:-)
  19. Gray..
  20. ..Branfoot..
  21. Interesting to see that they've opened a couple of temporary ticket positions just for the walk-ups for the Ajax game... they seem on the ball and even better, expecting a biiigggg crowd. http://www.saintsfc.co.uk/page/NewsDetail/0,,10280~1725386,00.html

  23. Don't spoil the good feelings. Booked my ferry tickets yesterday! I'm even going to put my Saints stickers back in the car window (removed on a visit to P********h, and too depressed to replace) ready for my trip through Switzerland.
  24. £5 sent with online banking, but last August date in the reference, I'm sure you'll work it out!
  25. ..and he lost his kit when he had to change...
