Throw the whole bloody phone..

No news on the OS and you'd think they might know..

Normally I'd have a few drinks to take the edges off the stress of watching Saints but with no trains looks like I might drive: I don't smoke but what's the legal situation about combining beta blockers, a small spliff and a tranquiliser I can knick from aged parent's nursing home?

How do they know you're Saints fans anyway? Too well dressed, or something? Reminds me of a friend of mine who got in to the Kop once. He's no wind up merchant and kept quiet, as you would.. Anyway, Saints scored but he kept quiet: the fans around him said 'don't worry wack, we knew you were from Southampton because of your decent shoes'...

I was reading some BTL comments in a newspaper about Chris Wood and how at Forest they are playing him in a way that feeds his strengths, which perhaps never happened at Newcastle. Although I don't think TP is very good he certainly hasn't been helped by our tactics. Was it at Man City where he was at the back of the box, unmarked, waving for the ball in the sort of position that the keeper couldn't have come for it. Needless to say we recycled the ball.. There was a decent fast cross from AA on Saturday, which somebody just missed, but apart from Manning occasionally we don't really have anybody to put in the early curved cross that he would need if he were on the pitch.

I hope that gets rescinded on appeal. Mind you, it does confirm my opinion that AY is a shit.

Not bad at Onan 1sts either.. Like others I'm prepared to give him and a few other players the benefit of the doubt of our playing system being an issue. But his touch does seem poor..

You laughed at The Producers, now laugh at The Manager..

I had to think for a minute as to who MC was although I came to the conclusion that I _have_ seen him play. He actually ended up on the right in the last game, if I remember correctly, although wouldn't be surprised if I wasn't...

You've forgotten the increase in liver disease and obesity due to fans self-dosing to get themselves through the games.. All those flasks you see the old guys carrying, they aren't tea you know..

Don't laugh, Yorkshire Saint, it was when I was visiting a friend up Halifax way..

Could be worse like that time I took a friend's dog for a walk, it had diarrhoea and I have a very strong gag reflex..

Is SAA playing against Leipzig, which might have impacted his appearance for the first team.
-
Cornet! I'd forgotten about him..
-
I'd reverse those two fixtures, but yes..

Nah, it works the other way round for them: 'on a blazing day on the south coast'..

Yep! It appears to mean recycling the ball around the back line again as nobody wants to take responsibility and lose possession with a difficult forward pass. HTH!

You would hope it would be the Thursday as we are playing very late on the Sunday and again Sunday afternoon, but I've given up expecting common sense or fairness from the administrators.

You'll love the home game against Spurs then..

Well, I was wondering how Fernandez will cope with a wet mid-week January match at the bet365 [!]..

Obviously no one is happy with our season or the way we risk so much _always_ playing out from the back or the strange substitions etc. etc., but my goodness, some of you do love to wallow in misery. I suppose being Saints fans we have to be a little masochistic but some of you are really hard core.. In the end it'll be the Everton game that may really depress us all. In the meantime I found the slightly twitchy nature of City under pressure towards the end of the game quite amusing. They could have got many more, like all the predictions on here, but they didn't and we defended resolutely so why not take a little glimmer of satisfaction from that? Haaland will beast a lot stronger and better CBs than Bednarek. Anyway a wet Tuesday against Stoke next up and at least it's at home..

Years since I've been to Manchester so can't help on pubs but I do recall the decent prices and Joseph Holt's pubs delivering in larger barrels due to their turnover. In Southampton drinking in a 'spoons will save you £3 a pint, which is not to be sneezed at, but in Manchester I wouldn't bother unless a quick one on the way somewhere else.

I have found you can get to see some football, but only after some 'really, well my word!?' moments.. I think Saturday comments are going to be less surprise, more cries of misery..
