  8. I now think we'll go down with Huddersfield and Newcastle. All the teams that are keeping their managers... Unless we win handsomely tonight and go on a big run. obvs
  9. Clueless management? Or more interested in reducing debt whilst gambling on coming good? Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  10. We needn't have gone through all this. Sacking MP and getting a decent manager in who knows how to get the best from the players we already have over a month ago would have sorted it. It's mystifying why we avoided this route, unless it is to stoke Les' ego and desire to be proved right in being 'honourable' or stubbornly resisting the clamour from the fans after they were so 'wrong' about Puel. Oh well. Here's to a spirited win tonight to lift the spirits. But I'm not optimistic about that
  11. Gao will immediately sell off the crown jewels and then get out in profit. Perhaps the grand plan all along. We would stay in the Championship (just) the first year and then plod along. All this stuff about winning loads of games shows the arrogance that got us here in the first place (not beating the lower teams). Would be disaster.
  12. The league doesn't lie. Except we're probably the worst team in it... Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

This in spades. Caught a bit of coverage of Stoke yesterday on Sky I think it was. Paul Lambert has banned phones from the canteen and asked his players to talk to each other instead. He's also as polite to the shirt cleaners as the rest but advocates being tough enough but nice enough as a balance. I think they'll shoot up the table under his leadership. And we will struggle on with someone who just seems like he is at sea without a paddle. Nice bloke, possibly, but that won't cut it. And Les is banking on this gamble being one he can dine out on for years, when it looks foolhardy. A manager is worth any number of marquee signings
  14. When MP is your manager it is hard to attract players, seemingly. Rumours that Everton are in for Promes, and Fredericks from Fulham doesn't fancy it either. On UI forum

  21. I love Kelly Brook. Oh damn, I've done it again
  22. Ulloa will score, mirrored by Sturridge after. Our dithering will cost us again. Not looking good. Then again, Carillo might prove more than a lump

All of which points to Les convincing people to come on the basis that we're a stepping stone to his beloved Liverpool. He takes a cut, unofficially, we get a good player for a year, perhaps two, and then the player gets his dream move. Everybody happy, right? This from his autobiography in 10 years time.
  24. west brom trying to hijack the deal...
  25. sturridge would be beyond our wage cap i suspect
