I think his injury will magically disappear when he joins his new club, the one he signed for verbally months ago. Just like a lot of them. Mercenaries, who don't give a toss. Selles couldn't stand up to them, so they walked all over him and he resorted to the Ralph-esque tendancy of just shrugging and picking his mates. We need the opposite. Someone with a clear vision and takes no shit. Hope the board pick someone like that, not another Euro-yes man or 'name' player tinkering in management.

We are all expecting a heavy defeat against Fulham, at home, with our Premier League status at stake. Few of us are expecting any effort or guts. Probably only around one person thinks Ruben Selles will pick remotely near the right team, or make the right in-game calls, or set up properly. Let that sink in. That's where we are now. And if we don't start making massive changes now with regards to preparing a side for next season, with decent players who care, led by an experienced manager who doesn't just jerk off to Pep formations and theory, we are on an inexorable slide to the lower leagues.

There should have been many more cards in this one. They get away with murder because of the atmosphere. Will always remember that game where they said they had too many with Covid. Also, I heard that Alex Crook saying Theo has been one of our best players and letting him go was a mistake, which is weird because he always looks to me like a Dad in a Lads v Dads game with no end product and very little start product either, and some trotting at 3/4 pace in between. Even if they give Fat Sam a million a game and he keeps them up it is worth it. He has quite simple methods, sure. But isn't it better than Selles' boring, over complicated, crab side to side, flat back four, high press, flat white, crapuccino, false nine, false 8, false economy, Pep cos-play, random team selecting, lily-livered, slow, incomprehensible, bat-shit form of 'management'? I think it is.

He's such a powder-puff, chicken, lily-livered, sideways crab of a player, but one who can hit a dead ball very well. I think choosing him as captain has filtered all those attributes throughout the side, so we have no back-bone, and very little progressive, attacking threat. Personally think he'll go to Spurs to be with his fwend Fraser and come off the bench occasionally to take free kicks. We will need someone with a bit more gravitas and heft as a captain as we try and get better than mid-table in the Championship, and not someone whose best performances are when someone like Romeu can make up for JWP's inadequacies. I hate the way he has given up over the last months, and offered little or no rallying cry to pep up the losers around him. Hope we get good cash for him and someone buys his hype.

I see JWP has told his agent to up the 'get me out of here game', the Athletic saying that he has been open to leaving for a while. No wonder he has completely vanished on the pitch. People saying he deserves the move and it's been tough for him, like it's going down the mines or something. Give me strength.
