Have a horrible feeling that Pochettino is off, has communicated that to some of the players and that is why they are thinking about it too. Really hope Spurs go for Benitez, we pay Poch a monster fee for the next project and that keeps the exodus to a bare minimum. IMHO losing Lallana is far better than losing Shaw, and the latter would be just confirmation that we will always be a little feeder club.

Doesn't sound crazy to me. If he's REALLY good someone will poach him and pay compensation. If he's only okay we stick with him. If he's awful we might have to sack him but would still be in that situation with any manager - perhaps the gamble they're making is about keeping the other players, so that could be factored into the equation.

Lallana leaving would be a big blow as skipper, and he didn't appear to be saying anything other than leaving open the possibility on telly the other day, as is the wont of modern footballers. Oh for someone saying 'look, I'm staying, no matter what'. Will never happen again.
