The mindset that has been inculcated is that we’re lucky to even be in this division and we will lose 15 games a season. That, faced with a team that has unlimited funds, better players and a better manager (crucially) means little chance of anything today. Hoping for a miracle, of course, but a large chunk of the above can still be changed by getting a manager who isn’t worn down by it all and only has two games anyway until his amicable payoff so why bother. Allegedly. All a mess. Left it so late. Depressing.

Every single other manager in the league is getting more out of their respective teams than Ralph is with ours, with the exception, perhaps, of 'Ted Lasso' at Leeds (and even he beat Liverpool). He's just not very good. And we can do better.
