  1. I think we've got a great chance of picking up loads of points from the other 'top' teams. Reading the WHU forum, they admit they are sh*t, they win ugly and are lucky to be up the top. They got outplayed by Forest and should have been 2-0 down before they were awarded a penalty (which wasn't a penalty). Their team is static and has no width, I don't think they'll handle our movement. I think we'll go there and win. Brum away is a big test, they don't concede many there and are unbeaten, but they'll try to get at us and that helps us. Boro are fading away, nothing to fear there. Sounds stupid but it's the away games at places like Posh that I worry about more
  2. **** off Portsmouth you grim skate game throwing cvnts. Bet their fans are celebrating it.
  3. What about Paul Jewell?
  4. Need Brighton to concede for my bet. W00t for Peterborough
  5. w00t for Cov
  6. These results look very decent for Saints, not so good for my accumulator. Not that I mind. C'mon Forest.
  7. Anyone else think this is going to drag on and on, leading to a desperate search in the last few days of the window?
  8. 27 goals in 85 appearances, and only 4 assists. Not at all prolific. Potential, and a bit of pace, but I'd much rather have a goalscorer.
  9. It wasn't so much a dig at Celtic. Was thinking more along the lines of why would an Englishman want to stay in Scotland when the quality of opposition is so poor? It's literally 50/50 on whether you win the league and domestic cups - no-one else comes close, which buys you a couple of games in Europe which you rarely win. Fulham, Middlesborough, Birmingham, Stoke, and even P*rtsmouth have done at least as well as Celtic in the last few years. Oh, and on Jos Hooiveld, he's been performing better than Jose Fonte this season. Clearly he wasn't given a chance at Celtic and you've lost a very good centre half for a fairly small sum
  10. If anyone wants any further evidence to back up the 'SPL is a pile of toss' arguement, Dunfermline vs Inverness CT on SS1. Bottom half League 1 standard at best. Think I'll be switching over to El Classico at 9pm
  11. Sorry, I couldn't understand your OP.
  12. Crystal Palace make enquiry about Jason Puncheon according to SSN. Club should tell them £500k and be done with it IMO
  13. You have no idea about our club's situation, history, or ambition. We were in the top flight for 28 years, untill 2005 when we were relegated following serious mis-management of the club. It took a few years, and another relegation, but we are building quickly now. When we get back into the Premiership, and it's not going to take long, we will be there to stay. You never know, we may even end up loaning you a couple of our younger players to get a bit of experience at a lower level.
  14. This. With Cork on the right again. Morgan and Deano have to be the middle pair when all three play.
  15. Man City - David Silva Man Utd - Nemanja Vidic Spurs - Gareth Bale Chelsea - Ashley Cole Arsenal - Robin van Persie Newcastle - Demba Ba Liverpool - Glen Johnson Stoke - Ryan Shawcross Norwich - Drew Surman Swansea - Leon Britton Everton - Tim Cahill S'land - Connor Wickham Villa - Shay Given Fulham - Brede Hangeland WBA - Peter Odemwingie Wolves - Matt Jarvis B'Burn - Chris Samba QPR - Jamie Mackie Bolton - Fabrice Muamba Wigan - Hugo Rodallega Saints - Kelvin Davis Saints - Jose Fonte Saints - Jos Hooiveld Saints - Fraser Richardson Saints - Jack Cork Saints - Morgan Schneiderlin Saints - Adam Lallana Saints - Richard Chaplow Saints - Rickie Lambert Saints - Guly do Prado -----------------S.Given-------------- G.Johnson---N.Vidic---C.Samba---A.Cole D.Silva------J.Cork-----L.Britton---G.Bale -------------D.Ba--------RVP----------- Subs: K.Davis R.Shawcross F.Muamba M.Schneiderlin A.Lallana T.Cahill R.Lambert You weren't wrong, that is tough. Would love a Saints squad with that sort of ability!
  16. I'd stick with Saturday's starting XI, maybe just FR to come back in for Harding. I see no reason to change the midfield, they were very decent on Saturday. Dropping Deano out of the XI, let alone the squad, would be madness
  17. As suggested elsewhere, Watford had been sticking with the 10% rule and giving visitors just over 2k, but have apparently relaxed this and have given larger allocations when there has been demand, due to them never selling out anyway. West Ham will have to give us the option to have a 10% of the capacity, which is about 3.5k. I imagine we'll get an initial allocation of 2k or so, with more available up to 3.5k (ish).
  18. My Spurs supporting mate thinks this bloke will be a good signing for them in years to come. Quick. A better SDR maybe?
  19. We have. I suppose an advantage is that our games are fairly spread out at the moment, not saturday, tuesday, saturday, so plenty of time to work with the new boys in training. And with FA cup 4th round weekend coming up, that's another chance to play around a bit with the starting XI if he wants to.
  20. NA has never thrown any of his new signings straight in. 2-3 weeks getting them used to everything in training, then a sub appearance or 2, and then into the starting XI if he's up to it. Can see no reason for it to be different unless there's a crisis in a position one of these new boys play in
  21. Did you word and format your email like your post on here?
  22. It had nothing to do with Lambert being out. Forest weren't letting us play out from the back early on, they were pressing high up the pitch. That, and Guly was winning a lot of headers up there and making it stick, so we stayed with that approach
  23. Strange how we all see it differently. I thought DC was immense on saturday. Linked up well and never stopped making clever runs. He pulled their defence all over the place which opened up gaps. He was unlucky not to get played in a few more times than he did, but even when a run isn't seen it still makes space for others. Very clever forward IMO
  24. Forest are sh*t, and we really didn't create that much before the sending off. Hammond had a dig from distance early on, purely because Forest were so slow to close down, then there was our goal, and not a whole lot more before the red card. After the red card their heads dropped, we got a bit of luck with DC's goal, but we played some lovely stuff and had loads of room to get shots off. There aren't many teams in the league that will allow us anywhere near as much space as Forest did. If they did, we'd have scored from a lot more long shots and low balls into feet in the box over the season. As Appy said, if Lambo had been playing I'm sure we'd have won by more.
  25. Alright, alright. Give us 5 minutes and I'll get back onside
