  1. Also, lol @ the swear filter getting me on s w a n k y. Nice looking bars, not sh*tty ones.
  2. I was in Bristol for a stag do on the weekend of the Leeds away game. There are sh*tloads of decent bars and restaurants very close together in the middle of town. I'm not sure what the actual place is called (it's on the waterfront/river type of thing), but there was a Pitcher and Piano, a few other s****y(ish) looking bars, a really top notch curry house. There is a bar next to Pitcher and Piano, I can't remember what it's called but it was nice enough inside, and from 5pm-9pm all drinks were £1.50. Worth starting the night out there for sure. I remember it had a DJ playing chilled out house music, and there was loads of skirt there. We ended up in Oceana on the Friday night (before the casino), it was average and I felt a bit old (despite being mid-twenties) Went to Syndicate on the Saturday night and had a good night, then went to a Gentlemens club somewhere in the middle of town. Enjoyable. Definitely try the area around Pitcher and Piano, you can't go wrong. And try that curry house if you like curry. And avoid Lloyds bar in that area like the plague. And have a good stag do. I thought Brizzle was one of the best stag do towns I've been to (although miles behind Prague).
  3. Embrace it as a completely valid excuse to start drinking at 8am. I almost felt compelled to explain to the person who served me a box of beers at 8.10 on Saturday morning, that I was going to London for a football match and that she shouldn't f*cking look at me like I'm some sort of scumbag alcoholic.
  4. I'm starting to believe we'll win it. I think we'll go up automatic, we've been in the top 2 from day one and I don't think that's going to change. I'm predicting a huge battle for the top 2, I'd love it to be us and Reading but I think WHU will sort themselves out a bit and do just enough. Can't see Reading maintaining their run through their set of fixtures. The playoffs are going to be so interesting. Think it'll be made up of one of the current top 3, Birmingham, Blackpool, and then one out of Hull, Brighton and Leeds. Leeds would have to put together a ridiculous run to get there though. Think the wheels have come off at Cardiff and Boro are too inconsistent. What a league it's been this year. And what's great is the only thing that you'd really put your house on is Portsmouth getting relegated. Life is good.
  5. Are we a one man team? Other team's fans would have you believe that. We play to our strengths, and who makes all of Rickie's chances for him? The rest of the team. Nice review BTW
  6. Tickets won't be a problem, we'll have a massive allocation if we need it
  7. Played well for the reserves by the looks of it

    Festivals

Saw the lineup for Global Gathering on Friday, and booked tickets straight away. Ridiculously good.
  9. This. IMO FFS.
  10. Block 23, row J. Not very proud of it but i broke 2 seats in that goal celebration. Lambo's hat-trick goal won me and the lads £650. Went f*cking spastic. yea buddy
  11. F*ck me i'm p*ssed!! Just got in. Don't think I've gone that mental since Derby away in the playoffs. What a day! 5 of us had a fiver each on Lambert hat-trick. Just £650 then. That has mostly been spent on beer. I want to have Rickie's children. Fact.
  12. Rickie knows how to deal with that situation now. He'll manage to get back for a spectacular off-the-line clearance, then jump into the crowd to celebrate the final whistle with the Saints fans
  13. We still had a way to go after we overtook Huddersfield, and kept our heads all the way. I guess that's what he's getting at.
  14. Millwall 1-2 Saints. Lambert to bend a free kick in the top corner in the 91st minute.
  15. 'You're a disgusting, fish molesting, tax dodging pile of donkey spunk and I hope your benefits get stopped. Happy relegation x'

    Festivals

That's the week before Hideout festival on the island of Pag in Croatia. Went to Hideout last year. Great venue for a festival, but hard to get to, and they double the price of everything for the 2 weeks of the festivals on the Island. Still worth it though, but be prepared to spend £3+ a drink.
  17. Make sure you go to Privilege, it's the biggest and best club on the island. Amnesia is good - best on a Thursday for Cream. And Space is well worth it. Sundays are best for that. Eden and Es Paradis are underwhelming, which is annoying as they're in San An and you can often get free entry on quiet nights. My best tip - don't buy tickets for nights from sellers, they'll often try to sell entry with unlimited drink before a certain time. It's a waste of time because you'll end up in the club too early and spend a fortune after the free drink. We always drink in the hotel when we're getting ready, go to the West End and get sh*tfaced, then go to a club at 1-2am. Enjoy!
  18. We've been 3 times in the last 4 years and stayed at Hotel Marco Polo and Marco Polo II every time. It's cheap as, but with air con, fridge in the room, decent enough pools. We went in September and it cost us about £14pppn. For me, you don't need anything more when in Ibiza. It's only a 5 minute walk from the west end strip, and less than that from the 3 bars on the beach - Bar M, Ithica... Going back there this September for closing parties again. Love it

Did Exit Festival in 2009, best festival I've done by far. So diverse and a 25000 capacity dance arena/stage. Tomorrowland is on the cards at some point, only found out about that recently. Done Creamfields twice so we wanted to do something else for the August bank holiday.

    Festivals

With summer fast approaching, and tickets on sale, what festivals are people heading to this year? We're mixing it up and going to Leeds Festival with some people we met at a festival in Serbia 3 years ago. We normally meet at a festival once a year - Creamfields in 2010, Hideout festival in Croatia last year, and make a couple of trips to visit them in Manchester. This will be my first experience of Reading/Leeds. Anyone been? Loads of us went to IOW last year as well and I'm guessing Leeds will be similar.
  21. Cape Verde islands was a great holiday, but just did a week. Riu hotel is top notch, great food & drink, guaranteed weather. Gets cool in the evenings and is obviously a bit windy being stuck out in the Atlantic, but well worth going there before it gets too commercial.
  22. Believe he started out as a journalist then presenter, then some genius at the BBC thought he was qualified to talk about football on the TV because he made no secret of the fact he's a football (and WBA) fan. As you said, a boring tosser at best.
  23. Can we not just have 90 minutes of deafening "who the **** is laughing now", only pausing for the 4 or 5 goal celebrations?
  24. Good news. That's going to be some week of football with Reading on the Friday as well. Might take the week off as I won't be going to work on the Tuesday anyway.
