It's been said a lot, but warrants repeating. To get promoted tonight, as great as it would've been for the club and some people's health, nothing can get better than sealing promotion, on the last day of the season, at home, with another sell-out crowd. I can't fecking wait. We'll be fine. Saturday was disappointing, but I don't think we bottled it. Just had a bit of an off day and were on the wrong end of some w@nk refereeing. I just hope everyone gets a grip and pulls it together, gets right behind the team, and has a good day out. The Saints are going up.

No it does not turn me on you pleb. It would just be nice for Sky not to portray our fanbase as a bunch of fancy dress happy clapper c*nts. They could achieve that by focusing a couple of crowd shots on people dressed normally, instead of zooming in on Osama Bin Laden, superman, clowns, and people in Hula shirts every time FFS.

Maybe expensive was a poor choice of word. I agree that jeans should be dark blue, without patchy fading or holes in them. I've got a couple of pairs of Boss Orange jeans that I'd consider expensive, paid slightly over £100 for each pair. I don't mind paying a lot for jeans, you get a lot of use out of them. I like Boss jeans, they fit really well and are good quality, they hardly fade.

I think that fancy dress is sh*t and childish at football. I also think wearing a replica shirt over a hoodie is sh*t. Just my opinion. I hate the fact that the TV cameras chose to zoom in on the people who dress up like idiots. Why not zoom in on some lads in decent clobber, to even it up a bit?

Good weekend away, despite the result. My memory was a bit hazy so I've watched the game again, sober, and some of the comments in this thread are ridiculous. Scored a good early goal, but were under the cosh for most of the first half. We were really good in the 2nd, apart from our finishing which was poor. Chappers really should have hit the target a couple of times. Ref bottled the most obvious yellow card decision you'll ever see. Just not our day. We were guilty of poor finishing, and got done by a spawny deflected long range effort, and a good free kick after a bit of Sunday league defending from Fonte. Not all doom and gloom, we've had disappointing results recently, but with the exception of Blackpool, we've played ok and things just haven't gone our way. Looking forward to the promotion party on Saturday.

I think it's massive. A win at Boro would be an amazing experience for the fans who have travelled up and down the country, and the team will want promotion to come off the back of a result, and on TV, that's a massive incentive. It would be gutting to lose out on any chance of the title, or getting promoted due to West Ham f*cking up. As someone else said elsewhere, if we get promotion on Monday due to anothert West Ham slip up, it'll be all about how West Ham made it easy for us and how they failed with the squad they've got etc...

Looks like there are going to be loads of Saints fans on the trains back to Newcastle after the game. There are 4 of us, I'm aware of another group of lads doing the same, and quite a few have mentioned it on here.

I've met a few of them. I consider myself normal, and can't think of much better than trekking up to Middlesbrough(Newcastle) for a weekend on the beer with the lads. It's going to be good FUN
