  1. The only reason we lost to Plymouth was because they had new manager syndrome, we don't win on the opening day of the season, Plymouth were our bogey team, and the game was on Sky. It was nothing to do with the performance or the fact we missed chances, facts were always going rear their ugly heads.
  2. I agree with the motion that says we will lose. We simply don't have a chance, the curses are always far too strong (see Plymouth match for proof). We'll lose 2-0.
  3. Not really relevant for me, as long as we get the 3 points!!! Its hilarious how tight the league is this year too
  4. Can't wait for this Skacel bloke to finally sign for us
  5. Top gravyyyyyy
  6. Oh baby baby
  7. Robbie Fowler claims Rooney is "umming and ahhing" over a guest "loan" move to Perth Glory. True story, whether Fowler is indeed telling the truth or not is another matter!!!
  8. I'll be there. Was also around the Caxton Street end for the Jets game with a mate I hadn't seen since '09. I'll be heading off straight from uni to the game, not sure if I've actually convinced anyone to go with me yet though!!!! I'll be wearing my Saints strip so you should be able to find me somewhere around The Den. COME ON YOU ORANGE
  9. This thread is an absolute joke! I must give credit to The Cat who has just made me laugh as hard as i've done all week. "SHUT UP AND KEEP QUIET". HA HA HA HA HA HA AH AHA HAHAHAHHAAAAAAAAA!!!!!!!!!!!! I can't remember a football match i've been too when you have to keep quiet when the balls out of play? So do you want us to do what they do for the start of an athletics or swimming race? Have the tannoy announce "quiet for the keeper" as he takes his goal kick!!!!! You sir are a moron!!!!! Football may be a serious business but its all about having fun. Its light hearted fun to shout "who" at a sub. Nobody cares. The player doesn't care. The away fans don't care. The players mother in the stands doesn't care. Because he gets it pretty much every week, and its all part of the often sarcastic atmosphere of a football match!!! Its certainly not showing him a lack of respect!!!!!!!!! Maybe someone should sell earmuffs for certain supporters in the Northam? By what some have been making out on this thread you could make a killing!!! As someone rightly mentioned earlier, the Stockport keeper from last season couldn't kick for sh*t in the 1st half in front of the Northam, and he got worse because he couldn't cope with the pressure put on by the fans!!! You are not at the golf. You are not spectating at the world clay pigeon shooting championships. YOU'RE AT THE FOOTBALL. IN ENGLAND. STFU and put up with it!!!
  10. charlton equalise
  11. not sure if this was picked up, but Croft was sent off for Huddersfield for a second yellow...... suspended? COYR
  12. This is turning into a great day! Up the Saints! The table is so damn f**king tight, we're practically on level pegging, a new start to the season if you like. Keep it up lads!!!
  13. Thanks Rickie. xox.
  14. Although it sounds good, this is exactly why it doesn't sound good. Very frustrating that we play well but don't score!!! It will be the difference between going up and not. COME ON!!!!!
  15. Apologies where apologies are due. Penalties are the exception and as I have just read a penalty kick is rewarded irrespective of the position of the ball providing it is in the field of play. I know you probably don't care but I'm pretty angry that someone "more knowledgable" coached me into the wrong interpretation of the laws. I suppose thats what you get for trusting Australians ffs. Hope Mokoena gets banned. Deserves it so bl**dy much!!!!!
  16. I haven't seen it, but this sounds like disgraceful refereeing, the sort that shows a clear lack of knowledge of the way the laws of the game work. They may have missed Mokeona's elbow, that kind of stuff can happen and is understood... but this was an off the ball incident that resulted in a penalty..... EXCUSE ME???? This was an off the ball incident and therefore should have been an indirect free kick. Boro' have been robbed. Not only has the skate cheated the ref may have made a shocker here...
  17. I have to admit I was surprised we overcame Bournemouth yesterday, felt for sure we would lose. Now we've got our home hoodoo over with (again!), I believe that we will kick on and march up the league, isn't confidence and faith a wonderful thing! Having said that, as soon as we draw to Tranmere next week everyone will be discussing how the season is over again!!!
  18. Yes it is double standards but what can anyone do about it? The PL seems more powerful than the goverment itself - and clearly a Liverpool points deduction would bring negative press to the PL - and yes, it would "damage their image". I've learned to put up and live with the corruption and double standards in football... I guess I just don't care about this kind of sh*t anymore!!!
  19. What a late win today!!! Another dominant performance by the Roar. Show it to the city and bring the fans back to the Suncorp!!!!!! If we didn't have Reinaldo up front we'd be beating everyone by 3 or 4 goals!!! Will be going to all 3 games on the 16th, 20th and 23rd - will meet up with the Saints group for the game on the 23rd? Victory should be a cracker...
  20. keep it up saints i'm off to bed. will smash up the house and refuse to do chores if we fail to win!!!!!!
  21. I love watching Saints live. I love watching Saints on TV. Never listen to them on radio. Can't stand it.... But sometimes reading this thread for match updates can be the most frustrating thing of all!!!! I THOUGHT IT WAS 1-1 FOR A SECOND!!!!
  22. I bet Bournemouth are GUTTED Get in there Rickie my son!!!!!!
  23. Should never have been released to the media. Should have been dealt with honestly behind closed doors and nobody would have ever known. Unnecessary bad publicity for a sport doing a lot to stamp out cheating, unlike say...... FOOTBALL
  24. There's nothing wrong with that dinosaur sculpture. Its in better condition than their rotten cheating disaster of a club anyway. Hate them.
  25. A points a point but we can't afford too many dropped points now we've done our honourary 'f**k up the start of the season' show. Its typical that the top two is Brighton and Bournemouth. I suppose it had to be. Bournemouth is probably our first must win game of the season - they will be ecstatic to just be above us so to avoid a defeat against us at SMS would just spurr them on and knock the stuffing out of us again. Its funny what a win can do because this is the first game since Rochdale that I actually cared about. COYR
