I don't bet, but if I did, that's where I'd put my money. Sent from my Pixel using Tapatalk

Agreed. MP has coached them to believe they're not good enough to be adventurous, must be cautious and defend. And he keeps talking about "growing", implying that we're not yet good enough. And that in turn creates a belief that we can't win games. He's killed all confidence and self-belief. Sent from my Pixel using Tapatalk

I agree, but being fair, having made the initial slip, Lemina almost got back. Sent from my Pixel using Tapatalk

Great report as ever. Thanks, Glen. Agree with all of it, especially dropping Romeu. I think we were conned into thinking Shelvey wasn't playing. Romeu should have played, been told to pick up a yellow so he could serve one of his suspension games next week. If we can't beat Wigan without him, we're even more crap than I thought. Pellegrino probably thinks the glory of a Cup semifinal will save him. Sent from my Pixel using Tapatalk

Pretty sure you're right. In a bizarre way, if they sack him now, it'll only be a sign of panic and indecision as they have obviously set out their stall to stick with him. Lose lose situation for them. The time for action was November and they chose the wrong action. Huge example of arrogance and complacency. Sent from my Pixel using Tapatalk

Perhaps this will help Les and the Board to wake up, but I doubt it. https://www.telegraph.co.uk/football/2018/03/11/southamptons-players-looked-complacent-arrogant-disinterested/ Sent from my Pixel using Tapatalk

Cold light of day post after letting my anger subside. MOTD said abysmal, and that's generous. First the team selection. Totally negative with no intent to take the game to the opposition. I agreed with JWP starting, but should have been for Tadic, who contributed zero. Sims was our brightest player last week, so he gets dropped. Maybe Hojbjerg for Romeu was ok, but Pierre unfortunately had a poor game. I wonder if we were conned into thinking Shelvey wasn't playing. We needed Romeu's physical approach. And Lemina had a mare. Then the tactics. MP clearly was terrified of losing and sent the team out, as usual, to hang on to a point. We were bullied and outplayed in intensity and urgency right from the start. Those tactics lasted 70 seconds and there was no Plan B, although to be fair the next 10 mins we're the only time we threatened until Sims shot at the end. In his interview MP said the early goal killed us off. Appalling attitude. As for individual players, I thought many were way below their expected standard. For me, Cedric, Carrillo, Tadic were the worst, but plenty of others weren't much better. No passion, no commitment, no movement, looking weary. The collective body language of the players said we've got no direction. If there was a plan, it was to control the game with possession but with no thought of positive intent when we had the ball. Once they scored, heads dropped, there was no encouragement, no alternative plan. Carrillo wasn't an effective target, Hojbjerg and Lemina went sideways without purpose, partly because Tadic, JWP and Redmond were never moving to create space and the possibility of forward passes. Full backs didn't get forward. I get the impression that the team want MP gone. Half of them probably want out too, and don't care if we go down - probably gives them an easier exit. The few playing with any passion have frustration written all over them. Desperate times. Sent from my Pixel using Tapatalk

Exactly. The tactics we're to keep it tight and not concede. We conceded. End of tactics. Sent from my Pixel using Tapatalk

I've done my best to give MP every chance, but that's it. He's clearly instilled the utterly negative thought on the team that every time they go out, all they're trying to do is avoid defeat. He has no motivational skills whatsoever and is utterly incapable of approaching a game with an intent to win, and take the game to the opposition. He's completely lost, incompetent and I'd rather see KD running the team right now. Sent from my Pixel using Tapatalk

Not really. We were in League 1 then. Our players weren't proven or attractive to Premier teams. Sent from my Pixel using Tapatalk
