I think Black's track record says it all. Sent from my Pixel using Tapatalk

I'd agree with most of that. In a couple of games - can't remember which now - something seemed to change mid-game and we got results. That was despite there being no obvious input from Puel and there were rumours that the team changed formation themselves, ignoring Claude. If true, that may I dictate a lack of strong influence and motivation and maybe problems when players are string characters themselves, or disagree with Puel. Fonte? Bertrand? Boufal? I think he has got us playing some tidy football, but incisiveness and end product have been the problem. And, compared with Koeman and especially Poch, he lacks imagination to read the game and change things. I won't be devastated if he stays, but he will need a fresh start and to demonstrate that he can inspire and lead the players. But Black has to go. We can still march on, but need to be more together than we are at the moment. Sent from my Pixel using Tapatalk

I think this is possible. I don't think he finds it easy to deal with fans' criticism, and the same may be true with some players. I'd be sorry to see him go, but less sorry than when any of the last three went. It's been a strange season. Not bad, but a lot of almost good. Puel has fitted the bill in some ways but his demeanour simply doesn't inspire. I thought it was a language thing, but now I'm not so sure. He's done some good things, but has also looked insecure and unsure when things get tough. Sent from my Pixel using Tapatalk

But a significant chance of finishing 15th or 16th, which would be very disappointing and demoralising in terms of preparation for next season. We need one or two good results to end the season on a feel-good note. Sent from my Pixel using Tapatalk

That's not true. We do know that, without him, we played badly. Accepted that does not imply that, with him, we would have played better. But although we don't know that his presence would have made things better we certainly don't know that it wouldn't because that was never tested. Sent from my Pixel using Tapatalk

I think there's a real possibility if UEFA change all their rules. Sent from my Pixel using Tapatalk

Think we should be ok now. ? To go down, we'd have to lose our last 5 games and both Hull and Swansea win all theirs. With a 24 goal swing between us and Swansea (which if all the results did happen, wouldn't be that unlikely) Sent from my Pixel using Tapatalk

Probably right, but maybe the FBs had been told to play a bit deeper because we had three "creative" AMs who could play wide? Whatever, it didn't work. Sent from my Pixel using Tapatalk

If you're saying they weren't set up right yesterday, then I agree. Sent from my Pixel using Tapatalk -

JWP instead of Boufal. Otherwise, same team as Hull. Tell them to go out and make amends. I think we'll see some decent performances from players putting themselves in the shop window. Sent from my Pixel using Tapatalk -
Can't believe that more haven't noted that it was Ward-Prowse's absence that lost the team cohesion. Sent from my Pixel using Tapatalk

Which maybe supports the case that a new impetus is needed. Sent from my Pixel using Tapatalk

This myth was busted a while back. Its more like 2.5, for away games. Sent from my Pixel using Tapatalk

True, but we haven't had a record breaking season so only our best players will be in demand. At this rate there won't be much of a feel-good factor at the end of the season. Sent from my Pixel using Tapatalk

This worries me. Even if we've got little to play for, a weak end to the season doesn't generate any confidence for the next campaign and will influence players tempted to leave. A strong finish sends everyone off on their break looking forward to starting again in August. Sent from my Pixel using Tapatalk

This. It isn't all about the flair players. We need someone who can link play, keep a move alive and play the balls for those flair players to pick up. Although much maligned on here, Davis and Ward-Prowse are normally very good at that, particularly in combination. I still maintain that when JWP is missing, the midfield doesn't function. He's not doing anything spectacular, but he makes it work. Sent from my Pixel using Tapatalk

I can only put that down to an experiment to see if Boufal, Tadic and Redmond can work together. Now we know the answer. Sent from my Pixel using Tapatalk

Our best attacking three is Redmond, Ward-Prowse and Tadic. I'm beginning to doubt Boufal can fit in. Occasional flashes of brilliance but doesn't work hard enough for the team in between and sulks easily. Almost a touch of the Osvaldo's. Sent from my Pixel using Tapatalk

I said before the game that the team was unbalanced. Three attacking midfielders plus a striker, but a lack of holding and carrying players. There are those who criticise JWP week in week out, but this is what happens without him. No cohesion in midfield. Sent from my Pixel using Tapatalk

Sometimes we seem to struggle transferring from defence to attack without JWP. IMO. Sent from my Pixel using Tapatalk

Looks a bit unbalanced to me. Sent from my Pixel using Tapatalk

Very adventurous. Boufal, Tadic and Redmond! Sent from my Pixel using Tapatalk
