Amongst the articulate prose, I liked most his view of Liverpool.

Liverpool have bullied us once over RL. Was very disappointed we didn't hold out until after the WC. It simply must not happen again. There is absolutely no way Saints should be doing a deal for Adam now. We are told we don't need to sell, so don't! In any case the valuation is too low and, with a good showing in Brazil he could be worth double in a month's time - which is why Liverpool are trying to shaft us now. If it really is a final bid, and I'm sure it isn't, walk away. If the board capitulate on this, I will be very disillusioned and very worried.

Absolutely right. Negotiating skills? Zero. Liverpool thought they'd try pulling fast one and will be laughing their socks (and more) off. Note to other clubs: Saints now soft touch.
