Loan? With option/commitment? Sent from my Pixel using Tapatalk

In other news, looks like Saha is going full VVD. Sent from my Pixel using Tapatalk

How? Probably a deal we've being trying to get over the line and CA going may just have given us the flexibility to do it. Sent from my Pixel using Tapatalk

Ralph hinted that Lemina more likely to move abroad, but should be going. Said he has enough defensive options, but could still be incoming. Ings, Adams, Djenepo and Adams working well together. Add in Long, who's still in contention, Obafemi who's impressed and Boufal, who seems to be part of plans (think RH said talented player) and there's lots of competition in the attacking positions. He talked of a front three, so think we'll see 343. Sent from my Pixel using Tapatalk

Will be amazed if Bednarek doesn't start and also do not expect 4222. Think it'll be 343. Replace Romeu with Bednarek in your team, with JWP alongside Hojbjerg. I know he's not the ideal DM, but with 3 CBs Hojbjerg is the holding player with JWP box-to-box linking play. Sent from my Pixel using Tapatalk

You've typed a hell of a lot without saying anything, really. My comments still stand and I've little to add, as you haven't refuted anything. Speculation and rumour are fine, but having a few facts available and weighing the value of gossip is a good idea before indiscriminately posting. Sent from my Pixel using Tapatalk

Maybe with the season starting on Saturday he's serious and focussed? Sent from my Pixel using Tapatalk

An interesting take on the situation but one I find totally riddled with conjecture, unsupported rumours and inaccuracies. I'm not replying to everything, but: I've never heard that Ralph was unhappy after January. The subsequent results and clear bond between him and the team question that. Yes, we've only brought in two players (technically three with Ings) but we haven't moved "many" out. We can't find takers, and that's the problem. Until we free up space, we don't have the capacity to buy in. We don't have an awful defence. We have one that could do with improvement but finding better than we've got at an affordable price and even after moving Hoedt and/or Stephens on is no simple matter. What broken promises? How would you know any promises have been made? I see no lack of ambition, unless you see splashing transfer fees as ambition in itself. I'm not a great fan of Gao, but he attended the fans forum. I'm disappointed to see Danny go but there is no evidence for your reasoning of why he went. Just as likely that he simply wants to be back in Germany or sees a lesser job at a bigger club as offering more prospects for himself. I trust Ralph and feel optimistic about the season. He has the ability to improve our current players rather than gambling on throwing money at transfers. Sent from my Pixel using Tapatalk

You're obsessed with the idea that it was personal ambition and the desire for "ministerial cars" the led the LibDems into coalition. It wasn't. The LibDems saw the coalition as a chance to have a moderate government with the minority party being able to control excesses of the major party. Which, in fact, worked well most of the time until the Tories decided to screw their coalition partners. And having done so, landed themselves with the obligation to hold a Brexit referendum that they didn't want. And the rest is becoming history. And I'm sufficiently close to the workings of the party to know what I'm talking about. Sent from my Pixel using Tapatalk

I'll stand corrected on the referendum being on STV rather than full-blown PR, but that's pretty irrelevant. The key point is that the LibDems couldn't or didn't make it a condition of coalition support that the voting system would be changed, but that there would be a referendum on an alternative, which they got, but was massively defeated thanks to Tory and Labour opposition, who both know which side their bread is buttered. The fact remains that our first past the post system sustains the status quo of a two party contest. Sent from my Pixel using Tapatalk

Sorry. I quoted you but meant to be referencing certain other posters - those who consistently delight in running down our players. Sent from my Pixel using Tapatalk

I simply don't get how any genuine Saints fan could be disappointed by a player who's had a bad season and been written off working hard, responding to coaching and becoming a much better player. It happens. Look at Redmond, Bednarek and Ward-Prowse. And every time a player steps up to do a job, it saves the club gambling millions on replacements. Hoedt has a way to go, but today his clearing headers were stronger than Vestergaard, he put in some good tackles and made no silly mistakes. It's a good start. Sent from my Pixel using Tapatalk

Some food for thought there. I know we made 10 changes at half time and they made 2, so we were fresher, but several of the second half team did well. McCarthy was secure, with three good saves. Cedric, as usual, didn't show a lot in attack but was better than Valery defensively. Hoedt actually looked good. Vokins was caught out on occasions but grew into the game. Reed added bite as did Armstrong who also showed good attacking movement. Boufal was sometimes wasteful, but played one good pass towards Obafemi towards the end and took his goal well. Obafemi was quick and strong. With Djenepo to come in I think we've now got good attacking options. Would still love a commanding CB but Vestergaard was decent and Hoedt a revelation. The most worrying thing was how easily balls were threaded through our three CBs whose speed of turning and recovery is a cause for concern. Sent from my Pixel using Tapatalk

Can't believe I'm saying this, but Hoedt was solid. Sent from my Pixel using Tapatalk

Armstrong for me. Vestergaard good too. Sent from my Pixel using Tapatalk

Have to say the midfield of Smallbone, Reed and Armstrong is combative, to say the least. Sent from my Pixel using Tapatalk

That's bizarre. We were very creative in the first half. Sent from my Pixel using Tapatalk

Sims and Forster the only ones not yet on the pitch. Sent from my Pixel using Tapatalk

McCarthy has made a good save too. And another one. No evidence yet that Boufal has learned his to look fir a pass. Been in good positions and wasted them. Sent from my Pixel using Tapatalk

Armstrong working hard too. And Cedric. Sent from my Pixel using Tapatalk

Boufal gets into promising position on edge of the area. Doesn't look fir a pass. Loses ball. Sent from my Pixel using Tapatalk
